Ive just watched harry p how to not compose for a series again and now i want to have an edit with leitmotifs from J Williams, some from other composers and some new fan composed ones!

Finally bought a PSP system with less than a week to go before the store shutdown. It was annoying to set up but I seem to be able to access the PSP store.

If anyone has suggestions for potential downloads I'm all ears. I picked up a 32gb card and at the moment I'm currently eyeing:
Trails of the Sky SC (I blame the Falcom fans in the Newcomer thread)
Brandish
Ape Quest
Loloroco Midnight Carnival
Neo Geo Heroes Ultimate Shooting
Mega Man Legends 1/2, Tron Bonne

Also I'm glad I'm not a Final Fantasy fan. There's a **** ton of DLC listed for Dissidia. Lots of $1 costumes and music.

Am not able to find some PSOne Classics on the PSP store that I can on the PS3 store. I'm hoping I can transfer them over but have never messed with the feature before. Having many games on a portable system would be great but I'd prefer not to have to re-buy.

I take it you finished Trails in the Sky FC beforehand? SC is the second game in the trilogy so I'm wondering if you got it mixed with the first game.

Oh would you look at that, I'm 24 now.

I just realized that Mario Golf's DLC is just gonna be them making these NPCs in story mode playable. Like, it's just gonna be Mario Tennis all over again, and most of the post-launch characters are already kinda spoiled, lol.

Ideally, we would see them expand the cast a bit more and experiment, but there's unfortunately very little hope of that ATM due to strict Mario guidelines from Nintendo higher ups.

Now, mind you that this is speculation, but it seems the word around the block is that Nintendo doesn't want the "core identity" of Mario titles messed with. Basically: Waluigi isn't in mainline games because he's a spin-off character, if he was in a mainline, he wouldn't be a spin-off character anymore and for whatever reason, Nintendo is afraid that will scare away consumers because it will "confuse them", or whatever.

It applies to the other characters, too: Ashley wouldn't join because she's from WarioWare, not Mario, so she can't be in the Mario game. Diddy Kong is a DK character, so he can't be in Mario Golf, he's not Mario.

There are also rumors about how Super Paper Mario is what started this whole creative mess at Nintendo: After Super Paper Mario, allegedly Nintendo higher ups like Miyamoto were not happy about what was going on with how far teams were deviating from the original Mario identity and formula, especially in terms of giving characters canon personalities and story. The thought process is that Mario is Nintendo's Mickey Mouse: They don't want him to have established lore or character because they want him to be as squeaky clean, manufacturable and marketable as possible. Everything needs to "fit the brand:, so to speak, and Nintendo has decide since the late Wii era that Mario's core identity is New Super Mario Bros. and that's it. The only titles allowed to deviate from this are 3D titles, because they allow the developers over there complete creative freedom.

Keep in mind nothing in that spoiler is confirmed. It's just a dash of my own speculation mixed with rumors and a few interview snippets.

Oh yeah, for sure, there's gonna be more than just two: Mario Tennis lasted almost a year and a half before they finally killed it, most likely to focus on Golf, lol.

I just meant to say just like Tennis, I personally wouldn't hope for anything too crazy: Probably a lot of base-design Mario baddies from NSMB, and maaaaaybe one cool pick from the 3D games.

I read through the character interactions you had so far (What I'm assuming would be pre-match dialogue), and it's all super good stuff. I really appreciate the way you characterize Shadow, reminds me a decent amount of Archie Shadow and pre-Pontaff era Shadow. Y'all got good stuff goin' here.

Thanks! I wanted to focus a bit on Shadow and Tails and work on trying to write them better. I also shared part one of my story mode ideas a few posts above if you wanna take a look

If what you say is true then Nintendo needs to shape the **** up or ship the **** out. Because that is nothing but pure idiocy.

TBH I don't think anything shocking is happening tomorrow.

I feel like it's gonna probably be Lloyd and maybe some other Tekken/Namco characters. Maybe another AT model swap like Bomberman if we're lucky.

Otherwise, I don't think this presentation is gonna drop any kind of bombshell. I think for the most part, these next two months are gonna just be silence, which is part of why, like Shroob, I'm dipping from Speculation until we have the September Direct good and announced and we can get this over with already, lol.

That's not a leak, it's just a string of code in the website.

It doesn't even point to a fighter. If it actually ends up being something, it could be a Mii costume for all we know, or a Spirit Event. Best to wait and see on that one.
