Image Comics vs Namco Bandai!!!!!!
I imagine this as a 3D translation of the Marvel vs Capcom series. An experiment to see if the fast combos, tag system, extreme areal combos, and screen filling supers can work in a 3D setting akin to Tekken and Soulcalibur (the fighting games Namco is known for primarily). As for the story... there’s not much of one. The Namco and Image universes get crossed when Spawn brings Soul Edge back to Malebolgia (his mission in his Soulcalibur 2 guest appearance. What about the fact that most Namco franchises existing in the same universe together doesn’t make any sense? Or the fact that Walking Dead and Spawn existing in the same universe also doesn’t make any sense? That’s the joke. It’s funny. And it’s not taking itself seriously at all.
Now for the roster

I’m just confused on this
In Street Fighter x Tekken, Pac-Man was put in control of a Mokujin mech to give him the proper stature to fight. Mokujin is Tekken’s mimic character, but when Pac controlled it his moveset was 100% unique. I wanted to do something similar for the Ghosts, and Charade is Namco’s mimic character, an animated fragment of the shapeshifting Soul Edge blade. Like Pac-Man, they are controlling him and forcing him into a configuration that allows them to fight in their own unique way.
