Plus, Tekken crosses over with everything nowadays. Most Tekken fans probably didn't blow up about it because it was just another crossover to them. Some Smash Bros. fans really can't comprehend not everyone bases their entire lives and personalities on whether or not Sakurai will bring back that one obscure character from my childhood back into HD. :drshrug:

Just to be clear, there is no character alive that I would be mad about to see added to Smash, I left that phase back in the Sm4sh days. But MC is the last one I would pick from that image, he just feel out of place, even in that image alone, it's like "one of those things is not like the others" for me.

Feel like it's more a question of taste here, personally, I love seeing different characters from different franchises who have very unique artstyle clashing with each other, it make the whle "Ultimate Crossover of Ultimate Destiny" vibe that Smash has gotten stand out more.

Plus MGS is a pretty goofy series when you really dive into it, it does take itself seriously most of the time & tackes some pretty big topic, but when you got a moment where you can have the main character of the game litteraly get pissed on by a enemy soldier & thevarious lampshading in MGS3 codec, that even the devs know when to have a laugh at themselves.

Still, everyone got different tastes like I say, so let's just agree to disagree here.

So, on the matter of "too many fighting game characters", would this be a bad time to mention I'd love to see Akira or Jacky from Virtua Fighter in Smash? We could have SF x Tekken x KoF x VF then I think that's beautiful. Not to mention with the Akira Mii costume being based on his blocky VF1 appearance, it would be perfect to have him playable with an updated look.

I don’t have a depression song, in the traditional sense.

My depression song is a laid back song for toddlers that I listen to whenever I get sad and start thinking “how the **** did my life get like this?”

Oh, and for those making the fighting game character in my fighting game jokes, his argument is that Smash isn't a fighting game and if you say otherwise then you disagree with Sakurai even though Sakurai said it's a game that can be played in any way one desires, and that Smash is a celebration of gaming.


He's just super salty over Crash.

I'm really trying to get into SMT3, I am, but after being lost for the third time with no ****ing direction on where I'm even supposed to go, I'm surprised people can play this game. I'll just be in Ginza roaming around for eternity, I guess. :slime:

Is being a legacy character even that much of a selling point? I mean, yeah, it’s neat, but whether the character is a legacy addition or not doesn’t do much for me personally. I’d rather focus on the quality of the fighter itself.

Lego Batman is easily the best Lego Movie, ngl.

There is a case for the original Lego Movie being #1, but I liked Lego Batman’s humor just a tad bit more.

No, they really don't mattee but you can't say oegacy is a huge factor that characters like Terry and Joker don't have and then say Shantae would be ideal.

Unless legacy just means they’ve existed for 10+ years. Which really just translates to “I don’t want Nintendo shill picks”

Which is a subjective opinion he’s allowed to have I guess, but why not just say that instead of crafting a poorly made argument to justify that view?

Reminder that, with the exception of a handful of base game Ultimate newcomers, the results to the 2015 Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot were never released to the general public.
