Listen, if you didn't jump out in hype when Kazuya throwed Marth into the lava, you don't know what "hype" mean.Exactly! Said it better than I could myself.
I get really loud when things I like are shown off. Like, I scream and jump up and down if I'm really happy.
But not everyone has that personality type. I'm sure Tekken fans were excited...If they also cared about Smash. Shocking, I know, more fighting games exist than Smash.
Plus, Tekken crosses over with everything nowadays. Most Tekken fans probably didn't blow up about it because it was just another crossover to them. Some Smash Bros. fans really can't comprehend not everyone bases their entire lives and personalities on whether or not Sakurai will bring back that one obscure character from my childhood back into HD.
Feel like it's more a question of taste here, personally, I love seeing different characters from different franchises who have very unique artstyle clashing with each other, it make the whle "Ultimate Crossover of Ultimate Destiny" vibe that Smash has gotten stand out more.Thing is that Cloud was chosen to represent FF which isn't a Playstation franchise (I would still have preferred Terra from FFVI but oh well). Maybe someday Nintendo can feel comfortable to pick up Playstation and Xbox IPs, I guess the seed has been planted with Banjo, but that was different. But so far, "this franchise is big on Xbox/Playstation" hasn't been the reason choose a character yet.
Tbh not the best example to convince me, I love MGS, but Snake still feels the most out of place character for me, but Master Chief and "Fortnite Guy" would sure top that.
You got me, I guess "unworthy" wasn't the right word to use.
Just to be clear, there is no character alive that I would be mad about to see added to Smash, I left that phase back in the Sm4sh days. But MC is the last one I would pick from that image, he just feel out of place, even in that image alone, it's like "one of those things is not like the others" for me.
Too many fighting game characters, as in 4-5 characters in a 70+ character rosterComplains that there are too many fighting game characters.
100% of the roster isn't exclusively characters that appeal to specifically me and my childhood?Too many fighting game characters, as in 4-5 characters in a 70+ character roster
I don’t have a depression song, in the traditional sense. My very first “depression song”. You know the kind? That song you just belt out when you’re feeling down. Sad that I had one of these when I was like 5.
Oh, and for those making the fighting game character in my fighting game jokes, his argument is that Smash isn't a fighting game and if you say otherwise then you disagree with Sakurai even though Sakurai said it's a game that can be played in any way one desires, and that Smash is a celebration of gaming. For a TLDR of this vid since it's pretty long:
HIs ideal fighters pass
- Joker doesn't have a unique moveset
- Terry isn't a legacy character, he had no hype, is unimportant
- Banjo however is a legacy pick
- There is nothing unique about Sephiroth, he is a guy with a long sword
- Kazuya isn't unique at all, there was no hype, all he has is legacy
- Complains that there are too many fighting game characters. Complains tgat there are too many swordfighters. Complains that there is no cartoony characters besides Banjo and Steve
- Nintendi and Sakurai don't listen to fans

Dude coulda just made a video about how he’s kinda disappointed that Crash couldn’t make it, and all the cool things Crash could bring. I guarantee you it would’ve been 100% better recieved. He's just super salty over Crash.

Well, guess Sakurai better give those awards back then.Oh, and for those making the fighting game character in my fighting game jokes, his argument is that Smash isn't a fighting game and if you say otherwise then you disagree with Sakurai even though Sakurai said it's a game that can be played in any way one desires, and that Smash is a celebration of gaming.

Is being a legacy character even that much of a selling point? I mean, yeah, it’s neat, but whether the character is a legacy addition or not doesn’t do much for me personally. I’d rather focus on the quality of the fighter itself. For a TLDR of this vid since it's pretty long:

Megan Fox is a perfect example of a total bimbo.
Lego Batman is easily the best Lego Movie, ngl.An accurate represetation of trying to convince Smash fans to try the franchise of a character they didn't ask for;
God, Lego Batman is such an absolute delight.
Megan Fox is a perfect example of a total bimbo.
Registeel better
Oh hey, I made a transparent version of this.
No, they really don't mattee but you can't say oegacy is a huge factor that characters like Terry and Joker don't have and then say Shantae would be ideal. Is being a legacy character even that much of a selling point? Unless legacy just means they’ve existed for 10+ years. Which really just translates to “I don’t want Nintendo shill picks”No, they really don't mattee but you can't say oegacy is a huge factor that characters like Terry and Joker don't have and then say Shantae would be ideal.
And should probably remain so that way.Reminder that, with the exception of a handful of base game Ultimate newcomers, the results to the 2015 Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot were never released to the general public.
Because they don’t want the people to know that Shrek won.Reminder that, with the exception of a handful of base game Ultimate newcomers, the results to the 2015 Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot were never released to the general public.
