To be fair, a lot of stuff from the Capcom leak was never made public. Also, from what I remember, the Capcom leak only was within a certain timeframe, so stuff that happened before or after said timeframe wasn't in the leak.

the main antagonist was known as "jigsaw" or "the jigsaw killer" because he would cut out a piece of his victims' flesh that was shaped like a jigsaw puzzle piece. they just shortened "jigsaw" to "saw"

no, but they just shortened "jigsaw" to "saw". he also doesn't really kill people in traditional ways, he usually puts them in traps that require a lot of pain and injury to escape (which characters rarely escape from)

I think it’s just part of the subculture. Every so often I look at videos detailing the sheer oddity of it all.
To be fair though, the Capcom batch is unusual as we haven't had a pack dedicated to only one company given out with a character unrelated to them, so you could argue that it was only done to address the oddity of the situation. There's also the possibility that Capcom wanted Sakurai to note that Rise was coming since the entire point of that pack was to promote that game, giving that extra statement could've been an additional request to give that extra push.
There’s actually a secret code behind some of them. For the 336 909 ones (ex: Snowball336 Spongebob909) the 336 indicates the user’s second-most favorite character, and the 909 indicates their favorite character. It’s dumb, but that’s how it is.
