Y’see he started out in Ninja Gaiden as an NES game. BUT what most people don’t know is that they developed an Arcade Version right along side it but while the NES version was more of a platformer along the lines of Castlevania the Arcade Version was a beat ‘em up like Double Dragon. The Arcade Version had the most infamously gory game over scene until Mortal Kombat. The NES Version went on to spawn many sequels and spin-offs; NG1, 2, & 3 for NES, Ninja Gaiden Shadow for Gameboy which was actually meant to be a port of different NES Ninja game called Shadow of the Ninja but it was reworked to be a Ninja Gaiden game, Dead or Alive 1-6 is also in the world of Ninja Gaiden with Hayabusa actually winning the second DOA tournament, and finally the reboot franchise that has 1,2,3 revisions of each called Sigma, Sigma 2, and 3 Razor’s Edge also spin-offs of its own line Dragon Sword and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z which was a train wreck because Spark doesn’t know how to make a good game, Comcept doesn’t even make their own games, and Koei-Tecmo’s translators couldn’t communicate between the 4 parties (including their US Branch) to quality assure the product resulting in a fundamentally flawed and broken game that I actually still enjoy as a Guilty pleasure.
