I think it is cool, too. In fact, almost all Sonic fans on this site I have seen are on board and liking what they hear.

Besides, I am sure 4Chan or whatever hates Sonic, and the person who posted those leaks was just trying to make it look bad, and even if he wasn't, it is still early in development, and it is his opinion.

tbh, I like the direction the leaks seem to imply the new Sonic game is going. I'm gonna wait until we see trailer footage to fully develop an opinion on all this info. You never know with leaks, this one could still be fake.

That may be so, but just cuz they did it weird before doesn’t mean they can’t try again and possibly get it right Y’know?

I’m not saying you have to like it, but I’m more open minded about a shake up to the modern Sonic formula because the last boost game was really really bland.

Yeah. And the chaos emeralds have always been optional in the games where they aren’t given to you by the story. You can still just go from a to b and ignore them and still beat the game. But if the game is all open world and all about exploring then it can’t very well be optional can it?

I have a few other concerns with Rangers (length and size of map compared to your speed), but we don't even know if the leaks are true so it's probably best to just wait for gameplay.

Like what? There was a hub in Adventure but it was tiny and the levels were still linear unless you were playing as knuckles (my least favorite play style in those games). Adventure 2 was the same except the hub was a menu. I’ve never played Heroes or Shadow. 06 was just bad. Colors and on had nothing of the sort. And Unleashed again had linear levels and hub worlds which most people I’ve spoken to might as well have not even been there (and I agree, they neither add nor take away anything from the experience). So....
