Hearing how Shrek 5 is supposed to come out next year.

In my opinion, I'm not against Shrek coming back but rather it should be a reboot instead as the original films ended perfectly as they were.

Z25 someone recommended me this rom called Unbound. You heard of this? It's pretty good so far.

I did hear of it the other week. I’ve played some of it, but I haven’t played past the moltres part early game yet. It’s definitely something I plan to go back to as it seems pretty fun. I like that they have the light and dark story too as it’s like insurgence. It gives you a new way to play and fits both sides of the fandom. Difficulty was pretty good too.

Idk, I just can't get behind listening to exclusively VGM. Not saying it's bad, but I'd get ****ing sick of it after a while. I'm also not a fan of the elitism and feeling if superiority of VGM listers have.

Maybe it's just my past history of being an elitist VGM listener speaking for me, and I really don't want to remember that phase of my life.

I wouldn't say I'm elitist about it or anything, but there are very few non-VGM ost I listen to on a regular basis. There are exceptions obviously(well, that depends on if anime counts as VGM anyway) but I've just never really understood music outside of that niche genre.

It probably doesn't help my parents shoved christian rock and hip hop in my face as a child, to the point that was the only thing I was allowed to listen to, so I don't have a super solid frame of refrence to go off of here.

when I got my first shot, I didn't get anything. Sore arm I was told to move it around a lot so that it wouldn't have to hurt. I'm supposed to get my 2nd on on Thursday, so maybe there's some sort of effect then

I haven't drawn in a very long time, and I honestly should be sleeping right now(It's like.... 2 am in the morning) but I just decided to randomely doodle something I've been meaning to do for awhile now.

I'm not completly satisfied with what this is looking like(I still need to color it in anyway), but it definitally appears I have improved substantially since the last time I drew something seriously. or is that just the sleep paralysis demon?

Shrek the Third and Forever After were awful though. The only good Shrek movie since 2 was **** in Boots of all things.

Considering the slew of new characters just haphazardly thrown into the movie, near zero connective tissue to the other movies, the absolutely convoluted story, the lackluster villain, rehashed jokes, and a tone that’s all over the place I can’t at all say the movie is good. If you like it that’s fine but it’s a damn mess in my opinion. They threw everything at the wall including time travel and the only thing that really stuck was Buss in Poots, Donkey, Shrek, and sometimes Fiona and even then they’re far better done in the first two movies.

If you could tell me three names from the new characters added to the movie without looking them up I’d be impressed because they’re all very forgettable.

The plot happen because the big bad guy plan (I won't lie I didn't remember Rumpelstiltskin name right away, but I say it's more because of the name than the character in himself, heck, I didn't even remember Lord Farquaad until I looked up, and he is much more well remember!) was basically threw in the trash when Shrek saved Fiona. Also he is way more fun to see on screen than Charming was in 3, and he has much more presence than Lord Farquaad imo. (mostly because he basically achieved his goal for a while and even if he did lose in the end. The character & world state in the new timeline tell you ALOT at how really bad this dude is, that and he kil one of his own henchwomen on screen over a simple misunderstanding, this dude is a ball of rage that try to hide it by putting him a facade of being cool & friendly, but can't due to all the years he had live like a hobo due to a dumb ogre screwing his plan at the last second, and that make him memorable imo)

Heck, Shrek & Dunkey come back to the castle where they saved her, and the event that cause everything to happen is Shrek wanting to come back to his previous life as a mean ogre who give no ****, like in the first movie! Shrek 2 & 3 aren't the most referenced admitelly, but after Shrek 3 tried to build up on Shrek 2 and....basically failed. I say it's cool that they went with a more personal story for the final that is more linked to the one that started it and all.

Also, it could be just me, but aside from Rumpelstiltskin (say that 3 times faster), I feel the focus of the story was much more on Shrek & his new-old buddy from this new timeline (especially Donkey & Fiona). The new member in the cast aren't outright boring, but they're cleary more secondary to the plot & the characters that we know of. (unlike Shrek 3 who tried to have so much characters all at once that it ended up only making a few works)

Finally, despite the joke here and there, I always felt like there was 1 constitant tone in this movie: Bleakness.

The new world is desolated & bleak, the old character you know and love are much more cynical & unfriendly (mostly because they don't really know each other & their lives are, well, on the lines most of the time), Rumpelstiltskin & his witches have won, yet despite them some funny moments, it's clear they're only one having the time of their life most of the time (and even then, The Witches arguably work for Rumple out of fear as they are loyal to him), and the fact Shrek only got 1 day to fix & all or else he basically be erased from existence is what nail the ton of the movie for me.

Now, is this movie a flawless masterpieces? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, the whole reason why Shrek get into this new timeline feel quite rushed, again, the new secondary character being...well, quite secondary mean there isn't much new fresh blood, and the soundtrack doesn't reach the same level as the first two in term of GEEEEEENIUS & making the scenes they're in even more powerful. (beside maybe one moment or two)

There's probably other points i'm forgetting, but what i'm saying is, if you don't like it, that's cool. I won't force you to love it or any whacky stuf like that, but to me, I say at worst, it's around above-average/just average.

Granted, average is sometime worse for peoples than total awfulness (see Sonic Forces vs Sonic 06 for exemples), but I still stand that this movie is nowhere near as bad as Shrek The Third......If only because we don't have that nightmare baby sequence that is just so....unfunny, and capsulate all the problems of that movie imo (aka not taking the plot & character seriously unless it absoluletly need to & instead going for the most low effort of jokes). Shrek Forever After may not be the ideal ending & not stand up to the first two, but imo, it deserve some credits for some of the point it does nail, and it shouldn't be just forgotten from existance like The Third is.


But yeah, sorry for all the ramblin' here, and hope I made my points clear enough.
