If that’s all you need to live your life happily then awesome! More power to ya.

That doesn’t cut it for me, though.
Not only a pet but good social circles/friends as well...............including a few here. Ask me again in a few years when I have matured and left home.......if you still somehow know me by then.

Running from the cops in Stardust Speedway.
Haven’t watched it. Don’t plan to either because from what I heard it was just a bland comedy.

I will say though, the controversy was handled terribly. Both by detractors and defenders.
Let me guess, there was some feminism and anti-feminism in the controversy? I would not want to be anti-feministic, by the way.

In retrospect, was Ghostbusters 2016 even that bad? Was it even worth all the controversy?
Personally, I liked it a lot. Some jokes fell flat but it was nowhere near the abomination the internet treated it like.

Leave it to the good ol social thread to take a joke about gamers being socially inept and turn it into a PSA on why human relationships are useless and all you need is your dog and/or cat :nifty:
I mean, there are a lot of different human relationships, it's not just lovers.

Unpopular opinion here, but pets are overrated. I mean, I had them before, but I don't find them that interesting to have. Pulls up shield
I don't think you should have a pet if you're getting it for being interesting, anyway.

Caring a living being for its whole life is a big commitment. It can be very emotionally rewarding but I also get it 100% if that's not your thing.

What Miis that have been made in Miitopia is downright mind blowing.

Do you think Nintendo expected these or did they severely underestimated the players' creativity?
Nintendo adverts: "Play an RPG adventure with Grandma, and even your annoying math teacher as the Dark Lord! Ha ha, so silly!"

Pets aren't just friends.

They're family. A member of it. Simply put.
As someone who is still not over the loss of his pet a few weeks ago it is 100% true. Nothing like coming home and seeing them after a day of doing stuff then sitting on the sofa and petting them and all.

They are like the heartbeat of the house if that makes sense.

Dogs are also always so loyal and has such unconditional love that you can always trust them unlike people. A dog you could trust more then your spouse or friend.

Which is what makes both the thought of and actually losing them a complete stab to the heart (my condolences for your loss, by the way). A little over two years ago, my bird flew out of the house and into a tree in a nearby church. We spent the entire day until twilight trying to get her to fly down, and she did so just as we were about to give up. It was traumatizing for all of us, especially her; she’s been plucking her breast feathers ever since. We still love her regardless, and I’ve been adamant about keeping all house doors shut when she’s out of her cage.

Eeeh, not sure about the last one. Dogs can't understand a lot of your faults that your family knows and puts up with. It doesn't feel right to compare the two.

Dogs can easily sense when their owners are upset and sad, so there's that at least.

Like how dogs can also sense who are good people and bad people.

I have been rewatching many of my favorite Pittsburgh Dad moments recently.

One moment that always cracks me up is he's trying to find a Pizza Hut (as in an old fashioned one that looked like a Colonial Style house) and he turns around for one second to address a (unseen) character. Guess what he passes by without seeing?

Honestly that's kinda true................but with friends you have to learn how to compromise as well. Don't want all your friends to be yes men like trained pets.

Friends aren't perfect (who is) but they are cool people. Just wish a few IRL can learn how to take a damn hint on a few things personally.

Nothing will ever replace that dog I loved so much. Nothing will ever replace that 14 year old terrier that loved nothing more than being hugged/petted and tea.

I'm not into birds as they are too small for me but they are pretty cool. I prefer dogs and cats.
