Oh yeah, now that you mention it, I'm starting to remember your luck. lol, low damage rolls and the amount of times my Ice Beam froze your switch ins was funny =)

I just had a awesome battle on shoddy. I was so sure that I was going to lose but then I ended up sweeping 5 of his pokemon to win the game! I don't care if it's not a big deal, I feel good right now. :p

1. 3 is not true. I would guess the answer is b.

Print some of these off, they're really handy.

3. ****. You have differentiate the two, and if the slopes at x = 3 are the same, it is continuous and differentiable.

x^2 , x < 3 _______ 2x , slope is 6
6x -9, x ≥ 3 _______ 6 , slope is 6

a) undefined; oh yeah, you have make sure both functions meet at x = 3. In this case they do.
b) continuous but not differentiable
c) differentiable but not continuous
d) neither continuous nor differentiable
e) both continuous and differentiable

It it continuous (no hole, jump, or asymptote) and differentiable (slope is the same when approaching x = 3 from both the positive and negative sides)

EDIT: Anyone know how to graph stuff like #3 on WolframAlpha?
