ok my poiint wasn;t obvious.Club Nintendo got shut down because as a reward program it wasn't very good, so they are making a new one in it's place. It had nothing to do with Sticker Star.
Miyamoto is known to have a lot of power at Nintendo and gets to dictate more than you would think. Hyrule Warriors was originally gonna play more like a Zelda game, but Miyamoto had them make it closer to Dynasty Warriors. That's one of the best decision he's made in a while, though.
the SS situation shows me one thing that I really think you could be worried for the other games that used these data. it's like the polar opposite of what was going on, but this should NEVER happen for a system made to gather marketting data.
My point is I am sure it's not the only situation where the data were accurate because if you think about it, this was at the time where the communication of nintendo as a whole felt.....meh.
As for why I think so, it';s known these survey are quite rushed usually. If you don;t get accurate data why you keep that system?
This was my point, it's not SS, it's the way I think club nintendo worked that made situations like SS happens. I do think it might have happened elsewhere because for some reasons, as soon as the wiiu released, everything communication wise started to fix....we are now gone quite far.
This is why i think they shut down the program, it jsut didn't do the intended job. SS to me is an example of this communication issue and again, it would translate to influence myamoto.
The ONLY thing I will say was a bad decision was even shifting the project. It just was in itself a bad decision because it was simply too late, when you have so much assets useless in a single day, you could expect to be messed up, they tried, but it just couldn;t do it.
and btw, think about spm which I am sure myamoto was involved, he let pass that and it had a crazy deep story.
I honestly think I have not enough to go the the point of hating him, I have more reasons to think it improved....anyway.
