The great Roman Empire has fallen under its own hypocrisy. Wiki Leaks release of so called sensitive documents is justification for the truth to be exposed to the American people as well as the World. We have become a Nation of lies and deceit bent on ruling and policing the world. How can a nation that is divided stand? We have professional politicians running our nation into the ground and we continue to elect this scum. When Israel had a king he was held in high esteem, respected, honored and anointed by GOD almighty. In the U.S. we have a President that is insulted, laughed at, false accusations brought against him and anointed by GOD almighty. On the other hand we have former President Bush who lied and manipulated data to start a war and overthrow a government that did nothing to the U.S. but ask to be left alone. Neither father nor son (Bush) was capable of finishing wars that both held as personal vendettas.
Who is the real terrorist the Bush Empire or the world?

This. Sure, America has done some crap in the past but it's not like it's North Korea or anything.

Well, being serious for a minute, North Korea doesn't have the influence nor the impact on the world that the U.S. does. They just don't have the power to do the level of harm that another nation-state would be capable of.

And it's all relative too. South Korea would disagree with me, but Iraq and Afghanistan might not.

Wikileaks aside, I seriously believe the eventual fall of America will be similar to the fall of Rome. It obviously won't be a carbon copy, but some of the parallels are there.

Inflation? Check.
Overextended military? Check.
Bread and circuses? Replace with that fast food and internet/reality TV/video games/whatever makes people happy these days and that's a check.
An increasingly corrupt and expanding government? Check.

^ completely agree. america haters are (more often than not) massive hypocrites due to the fact that they reside in this country and have probably never actually lived outside of it. people from the rest of the world hate us for our foreign policy... not our fundamental principles.

of course the definition of an "america hater" is highly subjective depending on who you ask and what you think america stands for. but people will do anything to feel superior.

-Inflation is NOT something that will generally speaking be bad for the economy. I gotta check if rome had hyperinflation but with all their currency being coins (read: gold and silver) I doubt that.
-Rome thrived under military victories, and their military wasn't really "overextended" either.
-there is a HUGE difference between bread and circuses, and fast food and internet. what's that? In Rome, the emperor (read: government) provided those. does Obama provide you with fast food and internet? Or to put it even more bluntly, would you be hungry and deprived of video games if Obama doesn't give them to you (which he doesn't)?
-what do you mean with "expanding government" and how was this a factor in the fall of Rome?

Also,West Rome fell under civil wars and barbarian invasions, which is not something I see happening in the near future. East rome existed until 1453 (yes rome lasted until the middle ages people) and the only real reason it fell were actual invasions.
