I agree, but it's just kinda odd that he's talked so much about "scaling" and "size" of things. Hell, he even made mention of Samus's height in the Little Mac reveal. It just seems like a really odd thing to obsess over. I'm sure he could think of millions of stupid little details to talk about, but yet he keeps coming back to size. It's almost like he's being defensive about it, as though there is something that would cause some kind of discrepancy. I'm not saying it is, in fact, Ridley, but he does seem to be over-explaining himself on this, haha.
Indeed, it does seem a bit odd that he keeps reiterating about size and scaling:

"Pic of the day. A group shot of the big guys. How much bigger are they compared to Mario?"
Showing off how much bigger these characters are compared to Mario. They are much larger than they were in Brawl, and further emphasise heavy weight and strong characters. Not relating to Ridley per se, but it shows that heavier characters will likely be much bigger than average and light weight characters (much like in Mario Kart games).

"Pic of the day. This dog is huge… Wait, no, the playable characters are small. The Smash Bros. series doesn't always stay true to scale."
The most famous one yet. This is proof that nothing is to scale in Super Smash Bros. and that Sakurai is willing to go past size canon. The dogs aren't giant, they are merely normal sized puppies, it's the fighters that are tiny. Remember, in Super Smash Bros., both playable characters and boss characters are trophies, they are the scaled down in size versions of the characters. Samus is not her full scale 6'3" form like detractors think she is, she is a tiny trophy/figure. Master Hand is not a giant hand, but a real sized human hand, as evidence is shown in Super Smash Bros.' opening sequence:
This is supported by his trophy descriptions:
Melee - Trophy #159: The Master Hand awaits anyone who survives the long difficult road to the Final Destination. This
symbolic link between the real world and the imaginary battlefields of Super Smash Bros. Melee is quite a handful in battle, and just because he wears a white glove doesn't mean he fights clean. Be ready to get poked, punched, flicked, and swatted like crazy!
Brawl - A being
tied to the link between this world, where trophies fight, and the world beyond. The meaning of his existence is unknown, as are his goals, but he seems to have obtained (and kept hidden) a power that borders on absolute. He also seems to feel a certain joy in challenging chosen warriors who've claimed many victories. He waits even now in Final Destination.
Whilst the PotD doesn't directly relate to Ridley as such, it still shows that canon size doesn't mean anything in the Super Smash Bros. series. Basically, the size argument is more or less invalid.

"Pic of the day. As shown in Little Mac's debut video, here is the height difference between Samus and Little Mac. He's used those mighty green gloves to punch out many challengers bigger than himself."
Not really Ridley related, just more or less a nod to the post on the Dojo!! for Brawl. The height comparison thing was also present in the Little Mac debut trailer.

"Pic of the day. Is this a match made in heaven? Remember, no matter how big you may be, there is always someone bigger."
Okay, the caption for this one seems to be rather pointless. We know that the Fairy Queen is large, and we've seen this stage before. Rather than saying "this is the Fairy Queen, ruler of Fairy Land. She's from the arcade game Pac-Land, which was also on the NES. [insert purpose here]", he goes on about size... We can see she's tall, but you don't need to emphasize it. People will naturally think it relates to Ridley, even when it isn't intentional ._.
I wouldn't be surprised if he did another size related PotD in the future...
