We're pretty much in agreement that Ridley's Neutral special should be a fireball of some kind but I've seen a split between those wanting the one big one and a bunch of small ones.

Yeah, I rembered him. The best part about a Ridley reveal (besides it being a Ridley reveal.) is going to be how much he'll try to downplay it.

Speaking of dumb gamefaqs users, Dede Kong also really annoys me.

You know when Dedekong is making a topic (and that he capitalize RANDOM words in the title) that chances are it's intended to infuriate or demoralize supporters for said character.

He used to do this a lot for Ridley, Waluigi and to a lesser extent, Toad. Currently, he mainly attacks Mega Man by making thread periodically about how Mega Man has slim to no chance (which I do understand the pessimism about, but I think dedekong deliberately makes these threads to demoralize Mega Man supporters, which have sadly worked well on GameFAQs).

dedekong is yet another ***hole on GameFAQs and more reason why I hope that if Ridley and Mega Man are in, that they will both be confirmed at E3 this year.

But yeah, we've talked about idiots who detract from Ridley enough.

I'd likely come celebrate in this thread, tell my friends, and then continue playing most of the Metroid games for the first time, as I'm currently doing. I want him in because he deserves a slot more than just about anyone else, not because I'm likely to play him. He's REALLY unlikely to be a playstyle that works for me. Nevertheless, my gladness levels will be through the roof should he be confirmed.

This seems like the best course of action.


But lets see. You're talking about E3, right? I'll probably be working at a summer camp then, teaching kids to code. I'd spin whatever they were coding to a Ridley theme. Maybe some stack overflow errors. Because the Ridley code is too big.

Ridley gets my support because we need another Metroid rep. He is also a good addition for villain roster along with Ganondorf and Bowser. Samus won't be a lone representative. No more complaints about resizing Ridley. Nintendo will figure it out eventually.

To give a serious answer unlike the above ones, I don't think Ridley would be paired with anyone really.
He seems like the type that no one would work with him unless necessary, like Ganondorf.

Though, if they DO go the Other M route, I can see Little Birdie being a tag-along for a group of Smashers as he grows, then tries to devour them.
When that fails, he runs off. Though by some half-assed plot relevant...thing....he's going to assist them with the final enemy because one of the characters was particularly nice to the little monster and they're going to be in danger (for full effect, it cannot be Samus, and the clone cannot know who she is, but she knows who he is).

Just five more weeks until Smash 4 is unveil. Just five more weeks. Each week has been moving slower and slower. I am still really crossing my fingers for Ridley.

This month of May could very well be the last month where we will even be discussing Ridley as a prospective character.

I wonder when a whole bunch of new users will start flooding into this topic in anticipation for E3. We are still at the beginning of May so maybe not until next week is when we will start seeing the hype train leave the station.

...This would work about as well as the other supreme beasts he has tried to control in the past. Even though Ridley is not as powerful as Chaos, Dark Gaia, etc., he's arguably much more vicious and intelligent.

That... is awesome. It makes a lot of sense... you could fight Ridley as the character first, then Eggman, then Meta Ridley, then Eggman in a big machine, and finally BOTH AT THE SAME TIME, causing Eggman's machine to crash into Meta Ridley, breaking both mechanical structures apart and unlocking the two characters.
