And only one option brings out a positive outcome.

Now that he's fully deconfirmed, looking to beat the **** out of Ridley on Pyrosphere over and over and over again (which I'd have done to the character if Sakurai went insane and added him [Thank you for your good decision-making skills Sakurai]).

Probably with Jigglypuff just to spite him.

Also the "remove bowser/dorf and make them bosses" doesn't make sense because Ridley was only ever going to be a boss - once he was an in-game stage boss having him as a character made no sense, whereas keeping the other villians playable only makes sense.

Can't have both in the game - Ridley went the way of stage boss, the others are playable.

Why do you assume it's only ridley fans? Look at ****ing DK, they get nothing, no new items, stages or AT.
While KI:U gets all the new stuff, and DK had two succesfull games after brawl compared to KI:U

Because what in the world would teasing a stage boss/hazard accomplish? It still makes no sense no matter what the outcome. All Ridley will be as a stage boss/hazard is a glorified piñata, and that isn't how Ridley supporters want him represented in the slightest.

I have a source who has been right about previous leaks and has worked on the European localization of the game. He says he has definitely seen moving models of Dixie, Ridley, Chorus Men and Mewtwo in the game and he's still confident that these four characters can be unlocked by linking the 3DS version to the Wii U version.

Now, I know how outlandish this sounds, and being a game journalist myself I'm taking this with a grain of salt myself, but we're talking about the guy who told me about the Bowser Jr. alts immediately after the ESRB leaks and has never been wrong about other stuff as well. Plus, the whole connectivity thing makes far too much sense, if only to get fans to buy both versions. *insert itprintsmoney.gif here*

Again, I swear on my soul that I'm not trolling. Time will tell. I thought Ridley was never gonna be in, but hey.

We'll see, time will tell. Though I'm fully expecting character DLC anyway.

Sakurai discussed his character selection process on an interview, which you can probably find easily. I dont remember it perfectly, but he takes in a lot of factors. Popularity, requests, how the character fits in smash, if they bring anything new that others dont, gameplay, look, etc. You'd be better off reading up on it yourself, but it makes sense that Ridley isn't playable, imo.
