In terms of the leaks, there were many points that have been posted that have proven it to be fake, but one thing that strikes me:

What exactly is the whole story? Ignoring the obvious issue for a moment, what I heard was something vague about being an ESRB tester, which if it were the case, they wouldn't have that anyhow, as to my knowledge they don't actually test the game, they are just given sample content. In such a case they shouldn't have been taking pictures like that anyhow as they couldn't, but they would have had samples they could post.

I am still skeptical of this Leak, But there are other leaks that have similar character choices that also include Ridley. The leaker did say there are more characters to be unlocked. So I think this leak might include Ridley in the near future. I will still keep my rule of all leaks are fake until proven by the game's release.

The leak is fake, there are too many issues for it to be real. They don't even have Mr Game & Watch's render right, and Sakurai already showed us it.

Look, none of Brawl's real leaks were pictures. Not a single one. I know, I was there. And no matter what people say about Melee "leaks", there were no "leaks" back then as we know them now, just news coming from the early Japanese release. it was 2001, the internet barely existed back then like it does today. Most of the sites we get "leaks" from didn't even exist when Melee came out. There would have to be serious screw ups for a leak this big, (although, I guess the Palutena leaks happened so who knows), but I still haven't seen anything that couldn't be easily photoshopped.

It doesn't look like it's actually passing through the frame on closer examination. The dark part is Wario's (slightly blue) shoulder.

You have a good point with GW's design though, his arms are definitely more slender and (maybe) his nose a bit different in the pacman reveal.

Anyway, i agree that he should be more colorful unless he is going to be really dark and completly unfitting compared to the rest of characters because he is evil and dark and...evil. Which is unlikely. I hope he won't be Hairdorf this time or even worse...*GASP* Captain Hairdork. I once said that i wouldn't like his moveset to be completly remade, but after seeing HW Hairdorf in action - i want this moveset. But not this long hair he has. Only everything else + TP Ganondorf's hair.
Looks like that leak's creator just had free time and enough skills, just like me when i was making fake Ridley boss image. Geez, i had to wake up (yes, it is still 11 PM here) and then BAM, apocalypse, everyone except for loyal members of our crew panic because of that godd*mn fake "leak" and we have to shoot someone now. At least last part is good.
Why the f*** do so many peoples believe those leaks without really thinking? Those who believe them without checking stuff included in it are idiots and it is disgusting...duh...

Apparently we found too many problems with our security systems. Aside from Elevators and tunnels for Morph Balls and breakable objects, we found Green Ledges.

We modified them to be "Red Ledges", that can only be grabbed with the Pirate Power Grip. Other wise, a shock of 10,000 Volts will be sent to the grabber. We left it outside so everyone could have a look.

Because this thread is starting to get consumed with talking about nothing but leaks at the moment, and nothing has been accomplished apart from proving the leak was fake (which I could have told you, and did tell you from the start, but oh no I'm just in denial).

Even if it was legit, people argued one of the spaces could have been for Ridley, and Ridley wasn't included at all, as the leak wasn't even related to him.

Effective immediately, ANY off topic character/leak/whatever discussion gets warned. No exceptions. This isn't the Ghiranim, Dark whatever, or Metroid General Discussion thread. Furthermore, any leaks not having to pertain with Ridley (as in DIRECTLY mentioning him, not just "x being fake/true means Ridley is much more likely!") do not need to be brought up here. Nor does everyone who has differing opinions need to be told to leave/stop "trolling."

I know you guys aren't so well-versed in leaks and spotting the legitimacy, so I'm just going to chime in and say why this is likely the real deal AND how it possibly even helps Ridley.

This is the Ninka leak I talked about the other day in here, or at least the roster follows it 100%, right down to the fact that ICs are out. That leak had a lot of legitimacy behind it in that he leaked some of the costumes from the E3 demo before E3, notably the green Bowser one and the blue/pink Mario one. He didn't just describe them either, he created them as Brawl hacks. The guy stated everything that's here, but admitted he didn't think it was the final roster. So with that we know this already follows a leak that had a lot of legitimacy behind it.

Now to the picture itself. None of those renders have been seen before, Dr. Mario and Dark Pits renders are based off previous art but that makes a theme out of the clones since Lucina's render is also based off of her promotional art. Bowser Jr's also does that somewhat, but that wouldn't be a first if you look at Palutena and Pac-Man's renders. Even then there are still notable differences between the renders. EVERYTHING else that's not revealed yet has completely new and unseen renders. R.O.B, Ness, Duck Hunt Dog, and Shulk have completely new models, Wario, Ganondorf, Falco and probably G&W too have touched up versions of their Brawl models (like Mario and Yoshi), and Jigglypuff uses her X & Y model like Pikachu and Greninja does (we can't properly rip X & Y models yet btw.) Also attached to this leak is a stage selection screenshot which has angles for some of the stages we've never seen before.

Now this all seems fine and dandy then, right? 48 characters fits both the 3DS and Wii U's resolutions, unseen character and stage renders, it follows a credible leak fairly well, has oddities that you would expect from a Sakurai roster (last minute additions being seperated from their franchises.) Well, there are some indications that the roster isn't the final version. You see Shulk's placement? He's down there with the 3rd parties. Why isn't he moved up to the row above him, it'd even that row out and leave the 3rd parties by themselves making it much less of a clutter. The stage selection screen also seems to miss one stage. That's where we go into the extended version of the Ninka leak.

You see, when the Ninka leak was first posted it was simply one fake leak of a million others, that is because for quite some time its credibility was kept classified between some of the respectable members and mods of this website since they had been given the evidence (brawl texture hacks) by the leaker, and they didn't want to throw it out there immediately so that it wouldn't become a fad for fake leakers. In the time they kept the leak's credibility to themselves a 4chan post popped up claiming he had insider info. He leaked all the unannounced newcomers which includes Bowser Jr, Dr. Mario, Dark Pit and Duck Hunt Dog, all of which had no previous legitimacy behind them at this point, but on top of that also said that Mewtwo, Dixie Kong, Chorus Kids and Ridley were in. Either this ************ had the luckiest guess in the world since at the time the Ninka leaks credibility hadn't been exposed, or those really are the remaining newcomers and for some reason Nintendo is keeping them locked away tighter than the rest of the roster. And if you can count that means 51 characters, which also fits on both the 3DS and the Wii Us resolutions.

So even if this leak is real Ridley is among 3 other characters one of the exceptions and still has a chance. Personally I'm more than ready for anything, but I thought this was worth sharing with you all to give you a perspective on how things are standing currently, and it also has relevancy to Ridley.

It's because Ganondorf is the king of evil and one of the most serious villains in Nintendo history, and the fact OoT states he murdered women and kids, it just makes people crack up that the tyrant has a flower, the only way that could even remotley offensive would be against men who are very feminine, I know this is what, the 3rd post you might see about it, but I really question that logic of yours
