But what about the rest of you guys?
Other M Ridley or Ridley/Other M Ridley hybrid design. And that is what we will, without any doubts, get in this game. The only part of the concept art Ridley i like is his arms, wings and tail, but everything else is...not Ridley enough for me.
Ridley...Charizard's clone?! Not only this is impossible since he has different proportions and abilities of course (no flare bits or rock smash), but why would it happen? Attacks from Other M is already enough to make him something more than a semi-clone (charged fire breath for either Neutral B or Down B, claw swipe attack as dash attack, tail swipe as either crouching attack, side a or side smash, that grab attack as Side B, that aerial tail attack as aerial down A, etc). If we will say that someone is a clone just because he looks slightly similar, then everyone with a sword is Link's clone, Rosalina is Peach's clone, Lucario is Mewtwo's clone (everyone who says that he IS a clone is either an idiot or forgot about Lucario's actual moveset except for its Neutral B), Jigglypuff is Kirby's clone, etc. But they are not.
That "giant hurtboxes/large character = bad character" thing is stupid too. Not all large characters are bad. True Ogre was bad in one of the Tekken games, but then became better. Biollante isn't one of the worst characters in Godzilla Unleashed and she is THE biggest character, 2X (or even more, i don't remember how big she was, but omg, she is giant) bigger than Godzilla. That Iron Tager guy is the biggest character and while he is still one of the worst (not THE worst character), he can deal real SOVIET damage in 1 combo if done right (at least 50% of the health bar will get removed after that, maybe even more). Feral Chaos is not the best character in his game, but he is hard to beat and he is bigger than anyone in the game (the only one who doesn't looks really small compared to him is Golbez, but that guy is as big or even bigger than Ganondorf). DK was the biggest character in SSB64, but he wasn't the worst (Samus was...unfortunately). Also, there is the friggin' AZAZEL, from Tekken. He is THE BIGGEST Tekken character. And guess how good he is? Yeah, he is a boss character that CAN be unlocked in one of the versions of the game.
He is crouching here or at least not standing straight like a human or at least like a T.rex in old images. He also looks like Ridley.
And that is all i remember. So, its not like those are the only large characters in fighting games that are not bad. They are the only large characters i remember. Character in a fighting game can be bad not just because of how large he is. Those bad large characters are bad because of something else too, like attack speed, range of attacks, damage, lack of projectiles, etc. There is no bad characters that are bad ONLY because they are big targets.
You could say the same thing about Ganondorf (minus the last sentence), and look what happened to him.
He was unlucky enough to be included during Melee's development. At that time, they were adding more clones to just have more characters done is less time. He also became C.Falcon's clone because they have similar proportions (a manly man...Ganondorf isn't as manly as C.Falcon of course because that is impossible) Now they won't have to worry about that. Just look how many clones we had in Melee, how many newcommers were clones was in Brawl and how many newcommers are clones in this game. It is obvious that there will be less clones and maybe someone will finally be de-cloned.
I've always found it ironic/funny that Dialga in the anime shares/reuses the same "roar" that Meta Ridley has in Metroid Prime.
It is actually a generic roar used by most T.rexes and large hungry dinosaurs. And of course by a lot of monsters.
...What? Am i supposed to get that award for all i have done for Ridley and stuff like that or..?
Captain Falcon is too awesome to be a starter. His unlock requirements should be to defeat 3 Level 9 Fox's on stamina mode.
Final Destination, C.Falcon (player) and Foxes only, No items.
Beats Palkia getting the generic Godzilla enemy mash-up roar (mix of Ghidorah, Boga and Godzilla himself, if I recall correctly).
That reminds me of Super Metroid bosses, who use either Anguirus' and Titanosaurus' (i think) roars. A bit modified. Or at least those roars sound a lot like those guys'. Those roars were used by Phantoon, Draygon, Crocomire and Kraid (maybe someone else, i don't remember).
Welp, I was bored, so I borrowed a friend's copy of Other M since I have yet to play it. Time to finally see what all the fuss is about.
Good luck going through the game of death and suffering. Former one is mostly on the hard mode and latter one is because of cutscenes. At least gameplay is good...but nooooo, everyone says its a bad game...even though as a game, its good enough to be better than Metroid 2 and Prime Hunters.
Oh boy. I'd recommend playing it on the hardest difficulty if you want to actually enjoy it. It's very rewarding.
And Ridley fight becomes pretty epic and awesome. And very hard since he can kill Samus in one hit with most of his attacks.
Also, here's a slightly related question: how BIG is Ridley compared to The Moon=???
He is BIGGER THAN BOTH GALACTUS AND UNICRON. That is how too big he is. At least according to toobigots.
Serious answer: he is at least 10x smaller than the Moon. If that Moon is the REAL moon, then he is at least 10000x smaller than this moon.
Plot twist: the stage boss is Metroid Prime
Another plot twist: the stage IS the boss.
Wow...that's a lot of
