...i feel like this month is going to have nothing but disappointment in it.

im just bouncing back and forth between hopefulness and hopelessness.

i dunno, a playable ridley just seems like one of those "too good to be true" things... which never seem to end well.

i know so much evidence points to him being hyped up through teasing and everything... but thats exactly why im so worried.

hopefully im worrying over nothing.

Everyone thinks that Ridley has to be a boss. Everybody apparently thinks now he was GOING to be a boss. There's nothing stating he will be, nor is there anything stating he was.
Stop getting worked up about this. It's bad for your health.

And going off-topic is even worse for your health because of the almighty IsmaR. Fear his/her unrivaled wrath and kneel before our lord Ridley.

It will happen. Maybe not this time, but it is not impossible. It is not one of the "too good to be true" things. Ridley getting his own game is. Or a new Metroid Prime game being announced this year. Maybe even just new Metroid Prime game. As have been said many times here, hope for the best, expect the worst.

I've been thinking about this for a while. The chances of it happening are absurdly ridleyculous. Like, once in a blue moon chances. But what if BOTH Ridley and Roidley were added as characters? That'd be the most awesome thing to happen.
Ridley would be the air-based fighter. Great aerial mobility, ability to fly, and good damage to boot, but despite his size still a mediumweight character. Roidley would be much heavier and more ground-based, and also slower. He would probably inherit his armoured skin power from Other M, which would temporarily give him super armour, but can only be used every so often and is immediately deactivated when hit in the face.

It's possible to get a general direct on the 6th then. I think putting it on the 6th might give it away, we know Sakurai likes to keep us on the edge of out seats so I'm not sure if he would just give it away like that. Then again....how many people know that August 6th is the Metroid 25th anniversary.

I am expecting the August direct to be a general one, with game announcements and stuff. Of course, we could get a Smash direct AND a general direct. That's actually pretty cool. Perhaps Dyna Blade was going to be a boss when the whole "bus" thing was going to be the story instead of the SSE.

Right. It wasn’t bad at all and had its own appeal, but it was a bit different than what I had envisioned it would be. It went something like this…"Some of the characters are on a bus on the way to the stadium. Samus is there. Donkey Kong is there and Snake is watching the bus from afar." It was like that. (laughs) I had envisioned a more serious tone for the story. Something with some misfortunelike a single character escaping total annihilation of his squadron and then fighting back while rounding up his allies. Ultimately, we worked together and successfully organized our ideas into the storyline for .

Edit: Actually now that I think about it, maybe not since Sakurai said it was not what he envisioned the story mode to be in Brawl. He wanted a more serious tone, and it sounds like the idea never got very far in development.

I just got an idea for Ridley's trailer. If they tie in Pokemon trainer or Mewtwo in it, they should totally make a joke about how Ridley has 3 different forms in Other M just like in Pokemon. Like they could have the Pokemon Trainer use the pokedex on him or something.

Not just Little Mac or Palutena in the cutscene of SSE, but the Bulborb has been resized, I'd show a picture, but alas, no good quality pics on the Bulborb in Smash Run, and considering they are still in Olimar's final smash, yeah, sizes are inconsistent in smash sequels aswell

Let's also not forget that, in any sort of canon universe, Bulborbs are small enough that 90% of the cast could just step on them. The character cast is resized for the situation anyway.

Technically, there are different sizes of Bulborb within Pikmin canon. Despite the previous statement, comparing the Brawl Stage Hazard Bulborb with Brawl Olimar, the Bulborb seems about the size of Emperor Bulblax. (That's without comparing it to the other fighters with their canon size)

I want to see Mewtwo return in a trailer. Most of the other veterans, like Ganondorf, I'm pretty confident will return, even if hidden. But since Mewtwo didn't make it to Brawl, I want him in a trailer.

As for other newcomers to feature with Ridley, I want to see Isaac from Golden Sun.

If they do a "two from the same series" sort of thing as they did with Robin/Lucina, then either Rundas or Trace.
