First off let me start by saying, everything I say is a lie, and people say I am very dishonest. Does that make me truthful or not truthful? That's kinda how this topic is. You might think im wrong about things, or right about things. To tell you the truth I dont know for myself.

What this topic is, is a rankings list of all the smashers in the Western world. A list that describes who is the best of the best. Is this list accurate? A little bit. Around 25 tournament results and kind of out-dated power rankings were used to make this list.

I guarantee this list could have been done better by another person, or if I had more help. But this list was a one man thing thing created by me.

Im totally open for arguements, opinions, and suggestions. As a matter of fact, I want them because I need everyone's help to make this list list perfect.

The mission statement of this list: Expose the best smashers in the Western world to others, rank skill level, reward skill level, and most of all encourage others to start thinking about who is the best and hopefully get the Smash Panel Rankings back up again. (There I said it).

So, here is the list I created.

People who I couldnt get on the list because the numbers didnt add up for them, they are inactive, im almost positive they are inactive, or im not smart enough to realize that they should definately be on the list, are not on the list for these reasons.

Q: Why is Hieme number zero?
A: He always searches his name so he will probably find this topic. Just another way to get this more attention.

Q: Why isn't this closed? Who is 2001 anyways? He's a scrub lock this already.
A: This list is unofficial, it's not just my opinion, there are power rankings and tourny results that helped me make this list, i'm not the only person that can change this list. I want this to be more of a community project. If it gets really good, hopefully the OFFICIAL smash panel rankings will come back.

Q: Why isn't (name) on the list? Why isn't (name) above (name)?
A: Low on state power rankings, tourny results, or the most common reason; I made a mistake. So, if you think somebody should be on the list, or should be in a different spot, POST! And give a reason. Just make sure you're not trying too hard to get nothing but people from your crew on the list.

A: If you really don't care about this list or completely disagree with everything on it without giving advice to make it better, go to General Brawl Discussion to get your post count a little higher.




By the way, i'm probably going to update this list only a couple more times at most. After that you guys can argue with each other about the list, the mods can close it, or the official smash panel power rankings will come back(not really).

I thought Atomsk was considered the best DDD, so shouldn't he be above CO18?

M2K saying Anti and Fiction tie for 5th should be enough to get them to move up from their humble 18 and 19 positions.

ADHD is considered better at Diddy than NinjaLink, I believe. NL may be great with a bunch of characters, but that doesn't matter late in a tourney. ADHD should be above him IMO.

Yea although I knew Anti was really good, national tourny results kinda screwed him, same thing with atomsk and ninjalink. It was really hard finding local tourny results that included fiction that were up to date. I fixed DEHF too.

But still, this is my first list the second one (if I make another) will be better.

Lists like this are pretty much impossible to make accurate outside of like top 3. Any list otherwise is just a reflection of your opinion.

Making an actual national ranking isn't really going to happen because well..it's almost impossible. Feel free to discuss your opinions about players, but don't bother stating anything as fact.

I'm not a big supporter of lists like these ... it's impossible to have an accurate top 50. But if I had to make a list I'd change the following things in particular:

- Lee Martin, LeePuff and MikeHaze are easily top 50.
- Seibrik/Lain/DSF a bit lower
- Tyrant/Fiction higher
- If Snakeee is on the list, Dazwa has to be there too
- Maybe add Holy?

Same as Gheb, it's impossible to have an accurate top 50. But what I would do is look at all the regions power rankings. It would help to know who they think are the top players in that region and what not. Then if you believe there is a tie for a spot or you're uncertain about a player, find who has that person played in big tournaments. The better the people he beat, the better his ranking should be.

Yea thats kinda what I did. As you can see the top 6 spots are ranked number 1 in their states.

Then thee are some tourny results that are thrown in there as well. Also Fiction and Tyrant cant go above DEHF since DEHF is number 2 in socal power rankings.

Again, its hard to move fiction or tyrant any further up because of DEHF. Snakeee plays in a harder state and has more tourny results than Dazwa although im aware Dazwa plays an extremely good ZSS. Leepuff and mikeHAZE are too low on socal power rankings plus they dont have a lot of tourny results.

Also ive only played 2 of the people on the list but first of all, I didnt make this list by watching videos of players, I used power rankings and nowhere near enough tournament results. Second of all, I want the community help me make this list, whether it's impossible or not because I KNOW I cant make this list perfect by myself. I posted this so others would start becoming interested in player rankings.

There is also a MW circuit: west, but this should give you all the information about the east.

Best in Kentucky is 11th in Circuit points
Best in Ohio is 5th in Circuit points
Best in Michigan is 2nd in Circuit points
Which is also roughly how the states rank: Michigan > Ohio > Kentucky.

Indiana doesn't have a power rankings. They also don't have any players in the top 10 in Circuit points (though they go to MWC: West events as well as East events I believe).

Sigh, it is sad that MW only has 4-5ish people on there (Lain/Anther/Judge/me/and Domo is sorta mw but also goes down to Texas a bunch I think? Shrug?).

I'm third in the state, along with bloodhawk and renegade. asdioh is legit as well.

MW:W is too far for us, a lot of the east stuff is far also..hopefully we'll get more organized since we're sort of centralized.


Anyway sorry for the off topic just wanted to fill AZ in on what little smash our state has.
