Who says Machamp is faster? Alakazam is definetly faster. STAB Psychic attacks can OHKO Machamps. I'm guessing it depends on predicting and switch out.

The definition of a counter is that it can always switch in safely no matter what move is used. Alakazam potentially gets ohkod by stone edge, so it doesn't counter the machamp. A better counter would be something like claydol, as it resists both stone edge and dynamic punch and hits back with psychic.

- Gyarados is nothing without Dragon Dance, seriously. One DD gets it up to 424 Attack and 342 Speed, so it can outrun and outpower a good number of other Pokes. It can Taunt a lot of critters that are just plain annoying (Breloom, Skarmory, Donphan, other Physical Walls). Waterfall for a strong STAB attack and 20% chance of flinch, and Earthquake for the critters Gyarados fears the most: Electrics.

Reviving old sets is fun. This is my Steelix from GSC, only updated with Stone Edge. Immune to T-Bolt, takes crap form Explosion, Steelix is the best counter for this Trode.

-This guy outspeeds any other Base 30s (a.k.a. Snorlax lol), and despite its mediocre Attack stat, it has moves that hit really hard. Earthquake for STAB, Stone Edge for coverage, Body Slam to make those super fast Pokes move like a Frozen Grimer. Crunch for the Ghosts that are untouched by Body Slam.



EDIT: Okay, WTF is supposed to be countered now?! Steelix or Skarmory?!
