Anyone have a link to the Palutena/Mii Fighter leak? I'm wondering where people are getting Lucas being cut from.

If this leak is real then it better not be the only newcomers left and that any other E3 reveal is someone else that people generally want. I can get past Mii, Palutena , and Pac-man but who the F@&$ idea was it to think that Chorus Babys would make hype over Ridley or Mewtwo.

Anyway, it is not our job to visualize Pac-Man in this game, that is up to Sakurai and the employees in Sora Ltd/Namco Bandai.

I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to go with Ryu instead. In fact, I'd be willing to bet they'd do more than just Pac-Man. I mean, Bamco pretty much gets their own version of Assist Trophies. I'd not be surprised if they confirmed Pac-Man and Ryu, as well.

I was just saying what 3rd party character I'd prefer over another, yo. Yeah, that's true, however, I was voicing my opinion on the character and it's slight misplacement in the smash franchise.

How so? Pac-Man is one of the most iconic characters in video game history, arguably the only character as well known as Mario and Pac-Man games, at least the classic ones, were fun as heck. How is he a misplacement in Smash? Enlighten me, please. I think he fits in Smash much better than, say, Solid Snake.

Hey, guys.

Funny that this page is talking about a new e-mail, because that's exactly why I'm here. Received one last night, but missed it in the mix of all this crazy E3 coverae.

But there's not much new about it, so I didn't think it was worth posting on the site.

I'll leave what it says here, though, in case you guys can use it in any way.

Basically, I was told that:

- Last E3 before game's launch (obviously)
- Participating characters: Pac-Man, Mii Fighter, Goddess Palutena, Shulk, Chrom, Chorus Men (none of these are new, obv, so I take he means these are the participating characters for E3?)
- There has been internal debate about keeping Lucas versus Ness, apparently Lucas is likely to get the cut
- Nintendo is planning post-launch character DLC, source doesn't like this as he thinks it's greedy

And that's it. This E3 should make or break whether this guy's the real deal. Let's hope for the best! =)

Page 52, bottom of the page. There is no much new, besides Romano saying Nintendo will (likely) release DLC for the game, in the future.

Honestly that surprises me as well. The fact that NESS was put in harm's way tells me we hold the original 12 too high on a pedestal. Perhaps it really is due to Mother 3 being ill received in Japan?

Yeah, I never anticipated Sonic as much as others for the exact reason. Nevertheless, It wouldn't bother me if Pacman, in fact was included in the roster. The only reason for his inclusion would probably be for marketing value and his appeal across gaming generations anyway.

He was supposed to be replaced by Lucas in Melee, but due to Mother 3 not being out, Lucas was delayed until Brawl and Ness was safe.

That has more to do with us as a fanbase constantly harping on Nintendo to bring Mother 3 stateside, which has in turn become sort of a meme.

Just as an aside: Mother 3 was well-received in Japan. It received only 40,000 less sales in Japan than Mother 2 got combined between Japan and America. Similarly, the series is still selling in a merchandising capacity Japan: merchandise is constantly being created and sells quite well to justify the creation of more. Usually, these are plushies, keychains and figurines, but still worth mentioning because Japan still loves Mother.

Having said that, there's no way both Ness and Lucas are being cut. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say if anyone's going it's gonna be Lucas. And, honestly, I'm gonna be kinda livid if Mother doesn't receive a replacement representative if that happens.

I may have mixed it up with something else, maybe it was in the palutena speculation thread, or the "How do you imagine this character is going to be revealed thread"
