I just want to say that this leak shouldn't be completely trusted just because it's gotten significant things "right". I remember shortly after Marvel vs Capcom 3 was revealed a guy posted a "leak" of the games roster, the guy got the Capcom side of characters completely correct (minus him saying Frank West was in, though he was origanlly planned to be in and was removed late in development.) If you had heard that you'd think the leak was true, but he got some things wrong on the Marvel side of characters, proving it was fake. People can just get lucky at guessing characters, not to mention he WAS wrong about Mii, Pac-Man and Little Mac being revealed at E3.

That'd be rather farfetched.

It's one thing to have a vague label (Pokémon from X/Y) or a differing moniker than the one actually used (Animal Crossing Guy), but to give a different character's identity (let alone give a singular entity the plural identity of a trio) or list only one character of a duo and somehow make both kinds of contradictory mistakes at the same time is something completely different.

I get the feeling that with Chorus Kids he just thought to himself "Hey, Rhythm Heaven is a popular series maybe I'll add a character from there to my leak, but I don't know anything about the series. I know, I'll just do a google image search on Rhythm Heaven characters and see what I find. Hmm, these chorus kids are some of the first things to show up and they show up quite a lot, they're even on the cover of the DS game, they must be very important to the series, so I'll say they're in Smash.

I could see Chorus Men being the original plan, and Marshall being the end result. I still find it incredibly unlikely that Sakurai wants a 3-man team after complaining about the difficulty of programming Ice Climbers on 3DS.

Think about it. 4-player Chorus Men = 12 characters on the screen, 8 of them AI controlled. I can't see that happening without significant lag. Unless it's some other scheme that others have come up with, like they're somehow all one entity. It just sounds iffy.

That wouldn't prove anything as that's not at all hard to fake. Anybody with an e-mail address could compose a letter, throw on some black censor bars, and call it the real deal. I could do it right now, if you want.

There's a guy, actually earlier in this very thread, who linked to a Clayfighters manual with scrapped character ideas, I think? One of them was a trio of smaller characters riding piggyback. I could see something like that happening as far as Chorus Men are concerned. It would certainly solve the issue of having too many characters on screen at once.

I saw that I don't remember what it said though.
Having maybe one of the Chorus Men use the other as a weapon could work too.(I feel this belongs here because it does involve the leak on something that could possibly disprove it. That being the AI's are a B**ch for the 3DS.)

Based on what we have so far, it seems that he waits until big events to leak (E3 2013, Smash Direct). So I can see him leaking the final newcomers right before E3.
I kinda hope he doesn't, though.

I don't trust the leak, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I have personally no problem with anyone on this list.

Chrom is a Must.

Unlike most people I'm excited for Pac-Man, we would then have the 4 Pillars of 8-Bit heroes with Mario, Sonic, Megaman, and Pac-Man.

Palutena is cool.

Chorus Men would be as epic as WiiFit Trainer. RHYTHM BASED COMBOS!

I'm fine with Miis, they have enough games to warrant it.

Zappa Yow Yow Boys. Yes they were a scrapped charcter for clay fighters 63 1/3. However they are playable in the clay fighter 63 1/3 sculptors cut. A very very rare n64 game

Again, it's possible, but doubtful When did that game get announced? It's possible that Smash 4 Had it's final roster done before that game started in Development.

Just because I'm like that. Again, I don't trust the Leak, but it would be nice if it was true. If it is great! If it isn't, that sucks. It is better just to wait and see.

Chorus Kids would have such a cool moveset! Imagine the Luchador being a command grab, and the Cat/Dog planes being an Up-B or something. Don't forget about Rhythm Based Combos!

As I've pointed out multiple times in the past, no.

Unlike the case for "Animal Crossing Guy", which was a general moniker for the unnamed protagonist character of the franchise, "Chorus Men" is the actual name for a set of characters. If it were Marshal, Miss Ribbon, and Cam, they would be either "Marshal, Miss Ribbon, and Cam" or something like "Rhythm League".

Hate to be this guy, but in Sonic is a 16-bit hero. An 8-bit version of Sonic exists, but he debuted and gained popularity in 16 glorious bits.

The only one that wasn't in the leak that I'm confident we will get is Ridley. I mean, why would Nintendo tease us so much to only confirm our disappointment?

I don't dislike Mii because I don't want to play as one, I dislike them because they actually shouldn't be in Smash for a good reason.

I have to respectfully disagree. They are a huge part of Nintendo's history, they actually have the most selling game on the most selling console, Wii Sports. So they have every right.

Their moveset could be based off of sports equipment, music, pilot wings, and Wii Party stuff. So don't say they couldn't make them a moveset when they made one for Wii Fit Trainer.

I don't mind Mii's. Hating Mii's was so 5 years ago. I've accepted them now, and kinda like them. Actually looking forward to playing as them in Mario Golf.

But Pac-Man... I just don't think he fits. Megaman and Sonic both have a Nintendo-y feel to them, where as Pac-Man just doesn't seem to fit. He works better in SF X Tekken than he ever would in Smash.

No, I read the mod's post on discussing characters and decided to delete it.

I will say ONE last thing, at the risk of a warning. Mii might've been a good choice if WFT was not already here.
