Considering the small amount of newcomers that we've been getting compared to Brawl, it wouldn't surprise me.To be fair though in regards to Little Mac, what if Sakurai considered both, but decided that with the KO Punch, Mac would make a better fighter than Ridley in terms of being the west's bias character?
The Gematsu leak plus Rosalina is only 6 down from brawl, and it's been highly speculated there will be more than the Gematsu leak.

I still have yet to see any evidence that points to there being more. No, Rosalina does not count. She was never planned for E3, and had she not been revealed during the December Direct, she would no doubt be part of leak 2. If the leaker had added her to leak 2 after her confimation, it would make the leak look false.

How is 47 characters disappointing? That is a TON for a fighting game of this magnitude, especially one that stars primarily one company's mascots. Any fighting game that has more than 47 characters doesn't typically have that many versatile fighters to choose from.
Why? Because the roster doesn't have the characters you want? You know what would be disappointing? Game canceled. I think Mahvel has spoiled everyone by making them expect abnormally large rosters.

I don't think that's implied. It could be one of those things where if there is a huge Lucas outcry *if* he is cut, then they could add him via DLC. He wouldn't be hard, considering they could grab a lot of his info from Brawl, or just extract some stuff from Ness and his special move customizations (I'm guessing his customizations will be similar to Lucas's moves in Brawl).
I'm guessing Ness's customizations will be completely different, as Lucas will be in the game.
Just report your own post next time you goof and we'll take care of it. Don't go posting about the mistake since that just makes more of a mess.

It was just a hypothetical. Regardless, if there is a Lucas outcry if he's cut, then I can see him being DLC.

Despite how bland he may seem, I have faith that Sakurai will do something interesting with Chrom. He exceeded my expectations with Pac-man, Mii, and Little Mac, so I'm confident Chrom won't be as generic as he seems on paper.
Also, the leak said "DLC" it did not say anything about characters specifically, so far all we know, it might just be stages. Gematsu + Rosalina could be it. Period.tbh i don't want character dlc

If we see more than 12 new characters (Mii only counts as one), you have full permission to gloat to me if you want to. I don't mind. As it stands, I doubt we will see any more than 12. Maybe I'm just a pessimist, maybe I don't care about new characters as much as I do returning veterans, maybe it's a little bit of both.

"Several" And if it was an AT I don't really think they would call a VO to do it. They would probably get someone else to do it or sample something from Xenoblade.
