I have to say for being a Doubles Battler myself (Well, 4v4, never done 6v6), that was an unusual game to watch compared to what I'm used to.

No Protects sans Florges, no setup, not even a spread move. You two just went at it. Kind of like watching a singles team in a doubles environment.

i had gotten it earlier today. and I didn't think you would have wanted the mewtwo it was sp atk hindering nature with only (around) 5 ivs in that stat

Ehh, I probably wouldn't have cared if I gotten it or not. The version I have is X, but I caught a timid Mewtwo with a spread of 31/x/29/31/31/31. You could use it as trade bait if you want...though if it had a +Attk or +Speed with the -Sp Attk, it could make a decent Mega Mewtwo X.

That actually was my single team. I am breeding a double battle team though. I have used that team in battle spot (free and ranked) and it has worked fairly well.

It was/is careful. and i still have items in Y and I'm not going to have them for very long as i am thinking about restarting tomorrow. with that whoever wanted the leftovers prior to me wanting to restart Y has until 12 am eastern time to reply here. if they don't it I'll be trading to the first person that asks for it.. any unclaimed items will be deleted upon the deletion of the file...

I just played Pokemon showdown, and I had mega latias (I was assigned random pokemon). Does that mean it's already out, or is it just the game? I tried checking online, but I didn't get anything

mega latios/as were known because of someone who managed to hack the game and as a result calculated their base stats. they haven't been released officially yet though..

Their base stats and data like moveset/etc. were all calculated just the same as any other 'mon. As ZM said, they have yet to be revealed.

Soul Dew is actually more useful, considering it's a free/automatic Calm Mind boost. The Megas don't even get a speed increase. The main reason to use them is better physical stats (Attack for Latios, Defense for Latias) and the type change.

Adaptability Dragalge isn't out yet, but as soon as it is, I'll breed one for you. I can get you the Goomy just fine, though. I'd really appreciate that Ditto, so I'll get to breeding immediately

You know, the funny thing about that issue is, Adamant Mega Heracross isn't necessarily stronger than Jolly normal Heracross with Guts activated, but what does save Mega Heracross is that it can utilize Pin Missile, Bullet Seed, and Rock Blast at their fullest with its Skill Link ability (something that normal Heracross lacks).

The same could be said for most Megas. Bar stuff like Mawile and Banette, who couldn't hold their own at all prior to being buffed. It basically boils down to whether you prefer flexibility (getting a power/speed boost without being locked by a Choice item) or certain abilities/typing changes (Gyarados is a good example, since his type change adds virtually nothing and his abilities are all good). It's really just preference and whether or not you want to use up your only Mega stone holder on a team.

I've been using M-Cross with bullet seed, rock blast, arm thrust and pin missile. that loss of speed hurts a bit and hard to activate moxie might teach it SD

Arm Thrust is too weak of an attack to use most of the time though, since the combined five hits only deal roughly the same damage as one Brick Break or Drain Punch; compare that to Pin Missile, which is actually stronger than Megahorn whenever it scores five hits.

Sometimes you have to ask yourself if you're better off using Close Combat, regardless of its stat reduction penalties.

That's why i was debating it at first I wanted it to have power but able to beat a sash/sturdy for a fighting stab. but can't really have both unfortunately..

It should also be noted that if Mega Heracross faces anyone who has Shell Armor or Battle Armor, Close Combat will end up being the superior option, since Arm Thrust can't score critical hits at all in that scenario.

It's a shame that Arm Thrust didn't get a power buff like Pin Missile, because if Arm Thrust's base power became 25, that would pretty much make Close Combat obsolete for Mega Heracross.
