i got bored in the first 5 mins...

in all honesty. What is the appeal of LoL/DOTA style games?

Well if you're just watching the first 5 mins... all you're doing is watching people farm. Of course that's gonna be boring as hell lol.

And even with the other parts, it's not gonna be nearly as exciting if you can't tell what's going on. It's the same as how Alan described WoW lol, WoW PvP is really boring/dumb if you don't know what people are doing. But once you learn a bit (even what I learned in my time playing) it becomes significantly more interesting.

Our team was Nasus (me, built for tank, tried to switch to DPS/tanky hybrid but it didn't really work lawl), Veigar, Ezreal (his first time using the champ, fed), then Master Yi and Rammus DC'd.

It was pretty bad, lol.

Other team was something like TF, Warwick, Annie, Alistar, and I can't remember the 5th.

Edit: So many memories of Dig Dug flashed through my head reading that, lol. Nice

lol, ok, well, they had a pretty stacked team and one of your 3 was a feeder, so it's no surprise that Veigar's brokenness couldn't account for your feeder and their 2 extra guiz.

The appeal for me is that it takes the character development aspect of RPGs that I like and makes it more accessible by putting it into 20-60 minute isolated games rather than forcing me to do boring quests/grinding (which conveniently means you can make mistakes and be stupid for hours upon hours and not be paying for it later when you realize the err of your ways). It then mashes this together with some tactical strategizing and team coordination in a PvP setting and the end result falls right into the area between casual and competitive that I need from a game to compensate for how seriously I take Melee while still keeping me interested.

Would just like to say that Alice in Wonderland was kickass!!!! For all you haters out there..... BACK THE **** UP!! The Cheshire Cat is the ****in Cat's MEOW in that movie!!!!(<---See what I did there!!!) He officially has retaken the spot of favorite Alice character EVER!! I'm also now a big fan of the March Hare.
