I got to beat Caroll on the stream. No joke, that was his first set of the day and he quit out of the pool immediately after.

I got 2nd seed.

I got 4th seed in my PM pool. I honestly expected to get 2-0'd by everyone in my pool because it was so stacked, but I made 4th seed, so thats okay.. I got close

It's actually extremely difficult to pull off as well.

Just try doing it against a Bowser and I guarantee most of you won't get it in your first 5 or maybe even 10 tries.

nope. pm tourneys run beside melee

The PM event will happen on the first alongside the Melee tournament due to the generally larger turnouts that the Melee events receive. It's just easier to get Brawl players to attend a Melee/PM event rather than the other way around, yknow? ^_^

Hope you understand.
