You are correct on the shield toggling but way off on the dropping...

Shield dropping is when you are in a shield and drop down from the platform you're standing on with no lag just like up-b out of shield.

And yes andy, my friends really have trouble grasping the concept of "no double posting"...
Although wut? seems to be learning better post etiquette, (by which I mean his spelling).
