Texas has flipped out on our PR update. I admit I think it was put out too soon, otherwise I would have contributed heavier on it other than saying stuff like "Tie me and Kosmos and Roy at 4th, oh and throw Infinity in there too" lol. But people are carrying pitchforks and torches and rioting it seems haha.

No Johns fellas. If you want to get better badly enough, you can. As Forward says 'Whoever wants to win more, will win.' This may not always mean this immediate match, but if you really want to be better than chris, im sure most of you could get a credit card and bus around the country for a couple of months, then come back and beat him. It's all about your level of persistence and drive.
Also I think the ranking should be:
Oklahoma/Brawl Peach/Melee Peach Power Rankings:
1. Chris
2. All others

Also, he's right. If someone really has A) The Drive and Will to Win, B) The Resources, and C) The Time, you can easily put yourself in a position to win a ton of tournaments against pretty much everyone.
For example, I've always had the drive to improve, its the major factor that allows me to keep up with most of you despite playing a sub-par character-- I FIND ways to win when other people would write it off as impossible or not worth the effort. I've always lacked time and sometimes the resources to really push my game to that next level.
Chris used to be simply average at best. However, his drive to want to be better than anyone else has led him all over the country; he's traveled to more tournaments than I can keep count and has played with some of the best players of all time. Those experiences have led him to the top here and abroad several times.
It goes back to something I follow as a mantra when it comes to competition:
"Hard work will always beat talent, unless the talented work hard."
I.E. I still believe to this day that Kuni is one of the most talented Smash players I've ever seen, but he just doesn't care enough about being the best to really focus that talent and take down Chris.(That's not a dig on Kuni, he just has higher priorities than being the best at a video game) Chris lacks Kuni's natural apitude, but he decided that he was going to see just how far he could go if he tried hard enough-- Add a few months practice and tournament losses, wins, and friendlies and VOILA! Chris is now in Beast Mode.

It's cool, Dillon. You're so young that time really isn't a factor for you, and you play on Wi-Fi a lot so it's not like you're not getting any experience under your belt. About the only thing you don't do is play in a lot of tourneys, but that will come soon enough.My main problem about not going to tournaments/smashfests is parents/rides...

I wish you lived closer to the heart of the community, but hey, at least you're not a young Po Pimpus who didn't even HAVE a community to play with even on an occasional basis.
Besides, you're pretty freakin' good for your situation... Once you can travel regularly, I expect you to become one of OK's premier players.

plus, i just thought about it, and deezy plays other good people in brawl only about as often as i do. he shouldn't be as good as he is, it's scary. once he can drive, i estimate a new king of smash.

****! All of Texas wants me to house them? Haha we will have a big cookout party first night, booze and food for everyone! Just dont make the cops mad. It will take alot of explaining to tell the cops why I have a mexican, a Korean, and a black guy all in one house in a white neighborhood.
