Why would Sonic make someone want to shoot their own foot (Or anything, for that matter...)? He's a great new character! Now, I'm not saying this because "HEZ TOP TIRE LOLZ!!1!1". It's because, as the last Super Smash Brothers game (Or at least, last one by Sakurai...), it deserve to be the best. What else is better than the mascot of the second most famous video game company, Sonic, of SEGA?
I'd say that, for Brawl to REALLY be the best game, character wise, the mascots of the four or five most popular video game companies should be included. Sonic is the prince, one could say, and Mario is the king. Now it would need three or four more. It would be a hard choice, but I would say that Konami being one isn't quite as much a stretch as some think. So, Konami and Snake.
I can't think of any others aside from Bomberman and Megaman, Hudson Soft and Capcom. And even then, who knows? Viewtiful Joe could be Capcom's representative!
But if you don't like Sonic or Bomberman in your Brawl (LOLZ C WUT I DID THAR?!!1! Jeez I read that too often...), fine. Your opinion. Now I say mine.
Also, "Mega-Ridley-Knight-Man", I KNOW. Been to the Ridley threads a lot when they were alive. EVER SEE ME AS YOUR OTHER SELF? I just didn't memorize it, and by now, it's probably gone to the tenth or hundredth page. But I got darn close, huh?
