Sorry for the long absence.. Again.. I need someone to whip me so I'm around more often. I don't think I missed much after reading this:

Apparently, it's about Dr Zoidberg and whether Bomberman irons his shirt, what with all those apparent folds.

We need something to discuss. It's apparent that there are alot of Bomberman haters in other threads discussing the last third party characters.

The worst one was DeuceBlade, who argued that Wolf was more of a tacked-on, shallow character than Krystal.

I told him that I thought Krystal was more shallow than Wolf, and she was put in mainly as a love interest for Fox. Then he told me that Wolf was just a Bizarro-type character--a rival for Fox, if you will.

He's ridiculous to think that Wolf doesn't have a bigger fanbase than Krystal. The only reason she has so many fans as it is is because of all the furries who jump on the female animal bandwagon.

Anyone think of any Bomberman taunts / victory poses?

I still say Bomberman should be spinning a bomb on his finger and have it blow up in his face for a taunt or victory pose.

His taunt could be he grabs a random character that wasn't included in the game (Geno, Ashley, Waluigi, etc.), stuffs a bomb in their mouth, and it explodes.

Sounds sweet. The pose in the fake Mojo update seems like a decent enough victory pose aswell. Another taunt I would like to see is him frowning at the screen or something along those lines.

His taunt could be he grabs a random character that wasn't included in the game (Geno, Ashley, Waluigi, etc.), stuffs a bomb in their mouth, and it explodes.

Now that you mention it, someone should get stuffed with bombs at some point in this game. Sounds like a great throw to me.

1. Celebrates as in Bomberman 64
2. Juggles 3 bombs until he messes up and up blow ups. He falls down with (@ @) eyes.

Winning Poses-
1.Does backflip and smiles as in Bomberman Hero.
2.Jumps and punches air above him while smiling.

Those are the only ideas I had, however I like Project-05's idea- good for comedic relief.

Will anyone here buy Bomberman Land coming out for the wii? It looks....okay.

If it has Bomberman 64-esque play for at least the mini-games, its a definite for me

One of Bomberman's taunts should be where he dribbles a ball on the ground, then does that gesture Fox does at the end of the Nintendo World Movie.

Or he could pull out a cigar, light it with a bomb, cross his arms, step on Link/Samus if one of them are in the fight (Or both), and say:


"Leave the bomb chuckin'/layin' to the experts."

Would be awsome for bomberman to be in..but that moveset with all he does is bomb attacks is horrible..y not give him movesets from his different costume abilites or something more creative than over A he throws a bomb...Down b he spikes a bomb..really borein..=\

We've been through it quite a few times in here Nightcloud, and most everyone has agreed to stick to basic punches kicks, and bombs rather than charaboms.. And I don't recall Bomberman's costumes giving him special abilities other than his guardian armor in Bomberman 64: The Second Attack.. But that only gave him the ability to do stuff that could be obtained from items you could find (bomb kick, bomb throw, remote bomb, bomb proof vest... Was there one more? I can't remember..)

Dont worry....alot of them are bomb kicks!

jk. I agree, Bomberman would suck if all he did was "chuck bombs", but he does do more.
We've agreed that he is Bomberman and wouldnt be if he didnt majorly use bombs- but what matters is how he uses those bombs.
Bomb throws, bomb kicks, bomb slams, bomb spinning on fingers, bomb stuffing down throats all add variety while still utilizing bombs. Sure you could mix in other elements from his other games, but you cannot forget the bombs.

If you actually look at all the character update templates as they load, they all say Mario. The site creator must have just used the general layout. But yeah I still think it would be a great pose.

Just to let everyone know, I'm gonna be coming to SWF a lot less frequently for the next two to three weeks. The end of the semester has arrived and I've really got to focus on wrapping things up in my classes. What do you want him to do? Use an axe? Sword? Throw fried chicken at everyone? Mmm... Chicken....

Err, anyway, Bomberman could get the spot. You DO have your opinion though. It's good that not EVERYONE likes Bomberman as much, since well... We'd have too much speculation and OVA 9000!!!1! posts in one day.

Link, and the IC's would get replaced by Bowser Jr. (W00T!), a certain purple dragon with phir3 (UBER-W00TZORZ!), and Wind Waker Link (Eh...). IC's: confirmed. Besides, I'd say four or five would be a better amount.

But then I could be wrong. It's happened before.

What's an ans? Spelling mistake? Anyway, Sakurai said that. But we all know it could change, just like they could put in Pichu at the last moment over, say... Dare I say it, Bomberman?! Yeah right.

In all seriousness, no one but he, his developement team, Nintendo's Smash division in its entirety, and Hudson know if Bomberman is or will be in Brawl, or even Megaman or ANYONE. Besides, anything could change. For all we know, we could've been mindgames'd at the demo. Sonic could be slower than Ike in the final product!

I won't even trust the character unveiling on Dec. 15th. You've all heard that right? I won't buy it until I get my hands on the game myself. Never trust what could be a rumor!

As for speculation, maybe we should all try and work on one thing at a time. Say, victory poses, taunts, or stages. Although without RDK, we cannot edit the first post anymore! So only people who go to page twenty-????? will see it. Oh well. That's what quotes are for!

One can hope Sakurai will be kind enough to add both Megaman and Bomberman. If he were to add just one, which is most likely, I would be happy but forever think how epic it would have been if the other was also included.

The source IS reliable--if I'm not mistaken, it's Coro Coro Comics from Japan. Those are the guys who released like all of the Diamond and Pearl Pokemon to the public before Nintendo even announced D&P existed.
