Good to see yah! Been quite a time. As you can see we've made a new thread with a better first post, we've started up "The Bomb Squad," and we're currently discussing maining Bomberman and flaming this troll.

I've said it before, but there are a lot of characters that I plan on trying out, so it's unlikely I'll end up with Bomberman.
Of course I'm going to see how Pikachu is.
Kirby (my 64 main) and Luigi (my Melee secondary) I need to check out to.
I'd be maining G&W in Melee if he didn't suck so much. I need to see if he's fixed.
I'd like to try Pit. I'm not some omg-anime-fanboy, I just like projectiling, and archery IRL.
Red I've always wanted in Brawl, and I'd definitely main him if he was fighting by himself (hopefully in the next one...). The way he's used now has me wondering, but he's still the most probable (especially if he has a Classic Red or Green costume). Besides, I kinda feel an Aspie-obligation.
Diddy Kong, Iunno, maybe.
I'm a huge Sega fan, but I never thought I'd play as Sonic as it was pretty obvious he wouldn't (and doesn't) have a projectile. However, after seeing videos and hearing impressions of him at E for All, I'm really starting to wonder. He sounds like he'll fit my "hit-and-run" playstyle.
As for unannounced newcomers, I can't really think of any. Little Mac, maybe. Oh, wait... Well, I know what AT I'll be hoping for (actually, I hope they have an item/AT switch).
As for his tier, I see him as being similar to IC. Low at the beginning (as everyone will be KOing themselves), but later a few people will start mastering his potential, rising him up and interesting new players, but the general populace will remain ignorant jerks.
Really, I hope ALL of the 3rd parties will be at the very bottom or at the very top, just for the irony.
I can maybe make one. Maybe. Animation isn't my thing, so can I do a static one? But I would like something that'd fit in my sig.

A made up character is easier to deal with. Waluigi is easier to deal with.

Sonic 3 (Genesis, 1994) was released AFTER Sonic CD (Sega CD, 1993) though, and Sega CD was a Genesis peripheral anyway so what difference does that Make?
Maybe because Capcom is still in bed with Microsoft and SONY?

You know what there was not a single worthy reason stated her efor How bomberman to beat Megaman into Brawl. Capcom is still doing a ****load of Megamna games for Nintendo so IDK what the **** you are talking about Capcom being in bed with Microsoft and sony.

Correction: Hudson Soft is partially owned by Konami (53% shares) and *gasp* Nintendo (~30% shares). And Capcom closer than Hudson? Then why are all their high profile games being released on the PS3 and Xbox 360?

Does Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Bionic Commando, and *drum roll* Resident Evil 5 ring any bells? The best Capcom's done for Nintendo so far was Umbrella Chronicles, which is basically a consolation prize for not getting RE5.
Besides, when did this become a Bomberman vs. Mega Man debate anyway? Don't you realize that the "1-2 more third-party characters" was not a set number, but just a ball park estimate? Sakurai even answered in the form of a question with a big fat "MAYBE" at the end. And even if he went with that figure, how are you so sure that he's going with the "2" instead of the "1" more third-party characters? Wouldn't Mega Man be out of luck too if the "1" was the case? Because Sonic is already the "1 more"...

I think you're thinking of Konami, who Nintendo has ALREADY dealt with, so they wouldn't have to go out of there way to negotiate Bomberman's rights. Just, like, down the hall.
Which is why Megaman has appeared in a game with Wario, and why Capcom has made 10 Mario games, and why Capcom was Nintendo's first 3rd-party software vendor, and why Capcom has its cosole o the VC.
Wait, I'M DOIN' IT RONG! That was all Hudson...
It's true Megaman is the primary contender, but we have faith in Hudson's superior ties, Bomberman's awesomeness, and the possibility that they've both made it in.

Does Resident Evil exclusivity. Almost every single Mega man game being released on a Nintendo console. And the fact that Nintendo actually let Capcom make proper version of their most exclusive franchise ring a bell?

You mean that exclusivity contract that Capcom went ahead and broke anyway? You clearly can't have forgotten about that low maneuver on Capcom's part... And Mega man 8, X4-6, Power Battle, Power Fighters, don't quite count as those were originally PSX/SATURN releases. And don't forget that there was a time when Mega Man was practically a Sony exclusive...
Again, why are you making this a Mega Man vs. Bomberman debate?

Closer to Nintendo hmm? Does Mario Party ring a bell? Whether you think they suck or not, fact is, they sold like hot cakes. Hudson made all of them. I believe Hudson is closer to Nintendo than Capcom atm. Oh and Capcom still never kept that little promise of keeping RE 4 a GC exclusive. Capcom follows the money. Nintendo is going to be no exception to the rule.

Mario Party made a **** load of money from the Mario Party ****. And Capcom only did three Zelda games.. Oracle of Ages and Seasons (both of them being two parts of one game), Minish Cap, and Four Swords for the GBA. That's all. Hudson has made nine different Mario Party games, all of them selling **** well whether you liked them or not.

I guess you could technically count those titles for that reason. And do you really want to count the Battle Network series? I wouldn't...
And actually, the Zelda spin-offs were done b Flagship, an independent developer funded by Capcom, Nintendo and Sega - which Capcom was nice enough to buy out and absorb by the way... (Guess that means no more Zelda spin-offs "from Capcom"...)

Movesets take too much time. Just let them post spam with minimal relevance to B-man. Thats how the Ridley thread got on top.
The Ridley thread got on top for being the second best thread at SWF. The original thread had twice the amount of posts the second one has now. It was a freaking monster.
In any case, the front page of this thread needs some Geno / Ashley pwnage. I'm gonna work on that pic I keep promising.
