Why does everything have to be one or extreme or the other with you. You've stated that Sonic would have to get special attention if he were in, and you don't want him because of that. And now you're saying he would be neglected as a character...
Why can't he be just like every other character? Just as important as Mario, Kirby, Link, DK, etc...
No thats not what I was talking about at all. I was talking about what information did you read, that brought you to the conclusion that if Sonic were in brawl, he'd have to be treated special.
You're right, you aren't making the game, so you dont' have any idea how the development process works.
You're assuming that its something like this:
Sakurai: Hmm... well, I'd like to get Sonic in there, but if we did, that means no Capt. Olimar.
When in fact, you have absolutely no basis of information to obtain this from.

On topic, Sonic should be on SSBB just cause he's so dang popular. So what he has been at Nintendo since Gamecube. Plus the Wii has Sega Genesis games for download.

who cares if sonic hasnt been in any amazing games lately hes still awesome! sonic and the and secret rings was pretty good and so was sonic adventure 2, he deserves a spot in brawl GO SONIC !!! he's just as big an icon as mario he is a cool character and perfectfor brawl.

Snake ended up the game because Kojima and Sakurai are really good friends.
He might end up being only be the only 3rd party char.

My, my, aren't we full of ourselves? You're not superior to any Sonic supporter, and I hope you know that. It doesn't really seem like you do though.
When it comes down to bare facts, there's nothing that proves that either side is more correct than the other. At this moment, Sonic's appearance in Brawl comes down to opinion. Where you think Sonic would ruin Brawl, I personally think he'd make it twice as good. You can't prove my opinion wrong. Personal taste. You don't like Sonic? Cool. We can discuss that a bit. You don't need to be abrasive about it though.
a popular yet totally irrelevant character symbol of a once powerful dynasty, in a sequel to a franchise with established mascots..... sega=/=Nintendo not even close I say sonic to be put in virtua fighter if they want to use him to fight so bad but why wreck a Nintendo franchise with corny one liners and repetitive moves... if sonic is in or not you'd still buy the game his inclusion is not critical

I find it funny how the sonic fans ignore the fact the Sonic and Mario Olympics appearing so close to Brawl may be what keeps him out of the game. And the fact that nintendo never ever said they contacted sega, but said that they were waiting for sega to contact them, but they hadn't at that point...
