so anyone thats not playing in a money match is sandbagging. Whatever. I never sandbag
You're absolutely right.

If you're not playing someone in a money match, tournament game, or a set with any kind of reward except for seeing your character on the win screen, you are not playing that person at their best.

Fact is when there's something on the line (Money, Tournament Win, Random Prize) you generate pressure. There is pressure on both players to win and if they can cope with that pressure than their game will improve. They will focus more and thus react faster and generally play better. If said person cannot handle the pressure however, or is put under additional pressure in the game itself, then their game is likely to fall apart. (See: Mindgames)

It's not something you control, it's subconcious.

its not necessarily that some people sandbag on purpose in friendlies..its just they dont NEED to play their absolute best

ugh. thought about argueing there but vs bb I'm never gonna win. basically I just think you shouldn't have to pay people for them to play well.

I spoke to Phil (Reacher) yesterday and he might be coming to this! He's not 100% confirmed yet, but hopefully he should make it.

Charlie: Anytime after 12 is ok but after 3 would probably be best.

Also guys check this out, it's a link to the forum for ESA2 (Epita Smash Arena 2) in France. I'm going to try and make it and i suggest you all think about going too. For starters food and housing are included in the entry fee, plus flights to Paris aren't that much either. Also if you are ever going to go to France you might as well go to Paris. Finally out of all the smashers i met in Sweden i have to say that the French were my favourites!

I'm turning up on friday, catching the train from Lancs at about 6:00 so I'll probs be there at about 7:30. Forgot which flat you guys are in. Am bringing Andrew and Dan (Newcomers) with me.

EDIT: Am definitely up for Epita Smash 2. Travel arrangements?

BB we can discuss more about ESA2 when everyone is over this weekend. I just wanted everyone to see the thread and think about it.

I'd also like to remind everyone to bring something to sleep in and/or on, the floors here aren't particularly comfy and there isn't much spare bedding/sleeping bags to go around.

Edit: Ant put the vids thread link on the first page!!! Oh and upload more vids :)

good games everyone. J03 Coey Golfie and Jir. Good to see you lot again and thanks for the hospitality. Stevie and Reacher- good to see you + play you. BB- hmmmm, you were pretty  for the most part but great falcon and don't forget to keep ****** with Peach. Andy- Nice to meet another new player. Hopefully I'll be seeing you more often and when I do you'll have some new falco skills.
