PsychoIncarnate
The Eternal Will of the Swarm
I don't see any problem with completely with completely changing a typing of a previous pokemon, especially if their typing is normal/ flying - the most boring of types

Come on, it would be:Let's see...
Brave Bird
Earthquake
Head Smash
Crunch
That would be one nasty Choice Band moveset if Aerodactyl's ability is Rock Head. Sadly, if Head Smash and Brave Bird are both egg moves, then Aerodactyl can't have both moves at the same time; it would only be able to get Head Smash from the Archen family, which doesn't learn Brave Bird at all.
Of course, this could be resolved if any 6th generation Pokemon, who are in the Flying egg group, can get one of those moves as a level-up move, while the other is an egg move.
I doubt that it would help that much, as Togekiss really isn't all that fast when compared to most other OU Pokemon.
At least Staraptor has manageable speed, access to Brave Bird and Double-Edge, and the Reckless ability, to slaughter a lot of Pokemon before it eventually falls. And having Close Combat keeps it from getting walled by the Rock-types and Steel-types.
Did you even look at the Choice Band moveset that I've stated? It literally looks like yours, outside of Taunt, which is pretty pointless for a Choice Band user.Come on, it would be:
Brave Bird
Earthquake
Head Smash
Taunt/Crunch
You're kind of forgetting that Normal/Flying only has three weaknesses (Electric, Ice, and Rock), while Fairy/Flying would have "four" weakness, thanks to the Fairy-type's Steel-type weakness. I'd rather keep Togekiss's immunity to Ghost-type attacks than to see it getting slaughtered by super-effective Iron Heads or Flash Cannons.Togekiss would now counter dragons, and has some very good bulk with 85/95/115 defenses, being able to run something like:
Obligatory Fairy Move
Air Slash
Thunder Wave
Roost
would cause some serious damage and be annoying as **** if you aren't an electric type
The reason for Double-Edge is so that Staraptor can still deal a lot of damage to the Electric-types, which are resistant to Brave Bird. And since Reckless powers up Double-Edge, it would deal more neutral damage when STABbed than what a neutral STABbed Close Combat can ever deliver. Sure it may sound redundant, but having Double-Edge included would just ensure that it'll deal a lot of damage to any type that isn't weak to Close Combat.and if staraptor was fighting/flying, it would be soooooo much better, it wouldn't need double edge/return anymore also having a better typing means intimidate becomes a more viable option, allowing it to beat ttar straight up (without SR of course) and it opens up a moveslot to increase it's versatility (while removing it's weakness to SR, allows more opportunities to use more brave birds)
Well, I've also checked out the smogon community, youtube,(which is a given to be bad), and that one guy called Shofu...Wasn't pretty.A lot of the people on Serebii are little kids and are a lot more immature as a result (which is why I refuse to post consistently there).
The small Pokemon community on this site consists of older posters that have been around a lot longer so we're less prone to making the dumb posts that you'll frequently read on Serebii... though it still happens on occasion.
The Smash4 section on the other hand... whole nother story.

Now that's stupid. People just love to complain and have lame excuses to not buy the game, don't they?Apparently there is a whole group of people that decided they aren't buying these games because the pokemon are in 3D instead of sprites
Odd
I definitely think they're ridiculous to boycott the games because they don't use sprites, but I can see where they're coming from, because I really like sprites myself. I know 3D is possible even on handhelds and it's the new thing and all, but I honestly would've been fine if they never moved over from sprites. Now that's stupid. I understand their side as well and I do love the Sprites as well; I absolutely loved the in battle Sprite animations that Gen V had. But, you shouldn't boycott a game because of this reason.I definitely think they're ridiculous to boycott the games because they don't use sprites, but I can see where they're coming from, because I really like sprites myself. I know. I just loved that feature.Over 700+ Pokemon now... That's just too much effort for such a small feature.
You forget how they've done it before, and how also the Pokémon franchise is so enormously successful that they can pull off anything they want. That being said, they've played it really safe for about a decade, holding back their punches in favor of superficial improvements to create the sense of innovation, when really it's been a long process of baby steps. Gen VI seems to be a leap, and it's only a matter of time (a very short amount at that) before we see whether the leap was worth it or not.Over 700+ Pokemon now... Oh man with just 2 weeks left till release there are Gen 6 fakes all over the place now... Pretty much don't believe any rumor you see until it's confirmed to be real.
This "Frogadier evolution" in particular had people on Serebii going crazy because of how ugly it is:
Personally, I don't see what's to hate about it. I think it looks pretty cool. It's got a couple of good moves too, such as Aerial Ace and Extrasensory. Access to Surf and Waterfall were expected, though, seeing how it's a Water Pokemon.Oh man with just 2 weeks left till release there are Gen 6 fakes all over the place now... To play devil's advocate, though, it'd be much more complex to do it now. You need more than like four different sprites, you'll need new 3D models for all 700. And, more importantly, you'll need those 700 Pokemon to do something. Because it's kind of dumb if a Pokemon follows you around but never interacts or reacts to its environment, especially as these games become more and more complex. They've animated front and back sprites for 649 Pokémon before, and they animated following sprites for 493. I think the decision to remove this feature was for proportional reasons, as Wailord is some 40 ft long yet behind you it appears as just a few.
Regardless, we've got about two weeks til the world explodes and we're all 9 years old again!
...You guys do realize the "scarf" is supposed to be a tongue right?
Different people like different things I suppose. *kanye shrug*
With the release of X and Y so soon, it wouldn't be bad to have a spoilers thread for those who'd like to be surprised. I know I'll go in there a lot, since I don't mind spoilers, but I know others would rather not be spoiled.Hey can we get a spoilers thread for potential leaks now or something

Here you go.Hey can we get a spoilers thread for potential leaks now or something
I guess it sort of depends on the kind of things people don't want to have spoiled, but I didn't really think about that. Story spoilers definitely, I feel like there are people who won't want to know the full roster of new Pokemon...to be on the safe side, I feel like any news that comes out henceforth should just be taken to the spoilers thread, but if the people concerned about spoilers have things they aren't worried about, then they can speak up and we don't need to limit that. What constitutes a spoiler? Is it just story-related spoilers? What about X Pokemon gets Y move? X Pokemon evolves into Z Pokemon?
We had separate threads for Black and White (and maybe BW2? I can't remember) close to release, and that worked out fine, and back in the day, there was even a no-spoilers forum for Brawl. It's not like we've got so many active threads in this forum that separate threads for two weeks is going to create any sort of clutter. If people want to be able to discuss what we know so far without knowing what's going to happen in the storyline or all of the Pokemon that are going to be in the game, while others want to freely discuss them, I don't see a reason not to make accommodations for that. The game releases in two weeks globally. Those who want to avoid spoilers should avoid forums in general.
That's like making spoiler threads for every other game just because a group of people don't want to see new information until they get the game... Doesn't make sense to me.
