You could read the topic, but:

- Ness has piss for range/priority except for uair.
- Piss horizontal speed, DJC doesn't help correct it
- A blimp even on the stage, pretty easy to force him off the stage
- A blimp gettinng back to the stage, should never ever make it back except vs bad people.

I think Ness speed and agility is ok @ the ground, i lately tend to use him much more on the ground and going defensive and seems to work well.

No doubt, but that's what makes him so limited. Crappy approach but very solid defense due to priority.

you can also do it on pikachu and kirby, i dont know about jigglypuff or luigi

On the ground, its just ok. If he had some more range on his fair/bair it'd be really good, but that's not changing.

That's the only thing great about Luigi is his finishers, everything else about him is lacking.

Luigi has great combos once you can get them going. The problem is just that...getting them started.

Yeah the only map whose platforms really suit his high first jump is Yoshi's Island.

Yea, which is banned. His high short hop makes his combos weak compared to mario, who even without the great aerial finishers like upb/downb, is several spots higher on the list. Plus hes the slowest ground character in the game, and slowest aerial speed (atleast horizontally, not sure about vertical / ff speed)

They may not be weak, but they aren't anything to brag about, and mainly aren't suitable for a normal game circumstance. Don't get me wrong, good combos can be done by Luigi, but as said, one of the problems is just getting them started. At least it's not too difficult to rack up some %...

If Luigi gets you into a combo you're dead. Starting them is hard though.

Other Luigi's advantages: hes one of the hardest to combo and he moves away if he gets hit when shielding.

Luigi can legitimately 0 to death most characters so his combos are definitely not weak

no, he's just a light character.

Anyone have data on character's hit-recovery rankings? All I know is that Samus has the best, and Falcon may have the worst but I'm not sure.
