The Ness Support Thread

Hix everybody! So this is the Ness support thread?, ok...

First of all I want to say that both Ness and Lucas are good characters, and they should be good to see in Brawl; but this isn´t a place to disscus about it, so I´m not going to talk about "Lucas replacing Ness".

I´m here to say to all Ness fans that nothing is over, there´s still hope; maybe Sakurai is just playing with us, saying that Ness is not going to be in Brawl; he can be secret character after all!

Lucas doesn´t have to be a replacement, not until now...

Sakurai hear the fans, and he can´t do something like, letting out Ness of that game.

Althought, Ness has to be in Brawl, not only for the fans, is for justice!; he has been in the smash series since the first one and he has a lot of fans now; so I don´t think Sakurai will leave this situation in this form.

For all Ness fans, never surrender, there´s still hope; nothing is over; if all of us get together, and say what we feel, I´m sure that our opinions will be heard!

So, never surrender, Atens is the place where democracy borns, so it can´t happen. Ness is going to be there, I know it;)

No, you don't know it, and the whole "He's a veteran from the first game" argument is completely pointless and selfish to top, "we want Ness cause he is cool and it's unfair to replace him:(" Gimme a break! considering that Ness is the most disposable character out of all of them, to replace him is not hard at all, justice? Justice would've been that Mother 3 had gotten released in time so that Lucas could've been in Melee and we wouldn't be having this pointless argument right now, as I've been saying, Ness's fanbase is due to the Smash games, not his own game, thus, he's very replaceable.

While I won't jump to conclusions such as saying "Ness will be in brawl", I agree that supporting him is good, although I know Sakurai could care less... I still think ness has a chance as it appears all the original Smashbros characters will be unlockables again (Luigi, Jiggs, C.Falcon, and Ness)

This is just speculation, and since Sakurai hasn't deconfirmed Ness yet.. he still has a shot..:cool:

He's using the same attack, just Lucas equips sticks.

What does it matter if it looks different if it's the same attack?

Right above the purple part of that one subspace soldier whose name I don't care to remember. And notice something about the spin attack, Lucas doesn't jump before hand, he just goes into it from his run. It's probably his running A attack.

If your talking about the "bat", it's clearly his smash attack, not a running anything

Actually, he quite clearly jumps before he does the attack.

Why can't people get over the fact that they said Ness was out. Are people conspiring that the Dojo is lying to us? Sure, the Smashball was a hiccup (in translation), but "up until now" is pretty clear. Every other instance the phrase was used on the Dojo, it ment something was changed. Something has changes, Ness out, Lucas in.

Besides, Lucas was intended to replace Ness in Melee to begin wtih. Actually, Lucas was supposed to be in the Smash 64 if MOTHER 3 had started development in time (that game was almost as bad as Duke Nukem in that respect. Half the time, but still!) Anyways, why would they give Lucas the exact same moves as Ness. I can see where you're coming from and asying they will have a Luigi relationship, but what if Luigi has a full, not even similar in any respect to Mario's moveset this time around? And besides, Luigi is LUIGI! Second most important Mario character right there! You think they wouldn't include him?

If there are any odds that Ness is in, it is at the smallest decimal point mankind has ever thought of. Besides, if MOTHER got another rep, Claus would be it. That might bolster the odds of an official Nintendo translation!

That's right. It's just more proof that Ness will not be playable. It doesn't matter whether the smash was a bat or a 2 x 4.

Best just get over it now.

I didn't say it's so important, it was just to show that Ness is still popular, maybe more than most character from Mother 3. People keep claiming that everyone, in Japan, likes Mother 3 better. It's a poll from here

I see also that Mother 2 got 214 votes against 117 (Mother 3) and 38 (Mother)... even if Ness isn't in, Earthbound will get something.

Just beacuse a character is overwhelmingly popular doesn't mean anything. Once Lucas breaks out his moves in Brawl, everyone will be way over Ness anyways!

There is no grudge.. however the more and more his moveset is being revealed it is becoming clear to me that when Sakurai said they have different moves... maybe he was just talking about how they look as opposed to how they work.

Meaning Lucas does not have all of Ness' moves image wise... but he has all of Ness' moves function wise.

I hope I am wrong.

Well ok, I thought you guys had something against Lucas, it kinda puzzled me. They were arguing about the movesets in the other, but what you just said was what we were trying to point out. It does look like that.
