The Ness Support Thread

Ness will return. There is no question in my mind.

Lucas' special attacks are all different enough from Ness' to make him a Luigified Ness, rather than a clone.

I haven't played MOTHER 3, so I don't know, but did Lucas even use PK Starstorm? I know Poo did in EarthBound/MOTHER 2, but I thought all the main characters usually used PK Fighting Spirit/ PSI Rockin'.

Even so, that leaves Ness a Final Smash as well.

Add my name to that list.

Ok! The fact that Sakurai has mentioned him so much makes me think he's in. Sakurai has also mentioned Ridley twice and Captain Falcon once. All those characters should be in.

I think you have a problem separating fact from opinion. Because most of the things you say are opinion.

I really think that Ness will return.

Think about it this way:

NONE of the 4 original secret characters have been directly revealed. Ness has just as good of a chance as Luigi, Captain Falcon, and Jigglypuff, who all have good odds of being in. Besides, why limit a franchise to only 1 character when there are multiple legitimate ones that can represent it. The Mother series already gets the short end of the stick anyway. Although Ness and Lucas are from the same franchise, they were from two different games, not sharing anything in common, sans the storyline.

Now, I'm not saying that Ness is in, I'm saying he has as good a chance as anyone else. All of the Lucas updates don't mean anything regarding his status. And I'm not dissing Lucas. I like Lucas.
