you have never played MOther 3, have you? Lucas never had those moves, Kumatora did, Lucas is just like Ness with some thing here and there.

Why should he be in when Samurai Goroh isn't=??? Compare their rolls in their series, and Claus is the 2nd or 3rd most important character in one game, that is a Japan-only game. Samurai Goroh is the 2nd most important character and the main character Captain Falcon's rival of about 5 or 6 games, that were globally released, and he's a AT. So why should Claus be playable=??? This is Super Smash Bros. Brawl, not Super Smash Bros. Japan-only Brawl. Fact is,
MOTHER is a minor franchise next to most of the others, and only it's three big character icons would ever have a chance at being playable (Ninten, Ness, and Lucas). The first is unconfirmed, unlikely, and pratically unknown, the 2nd is pretty much confirmed to be cut, and the last is confirmed to be a PC. If Sakurai was to have two playable MOTHER characters, he'd rep more then one game. In Melee he repped both Pokémon generations, and he repped Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Besides, it would be a Japan-only character overkill...give me a Australia-only AT, or give me death.
And Terra would be neat, right up there behind Blastoise in my never going to happen list! XD O well, I got Squirtle=CLOSE ENOUGH!

Well, Ness and Ninten look exactly the same, if Ness is out, Ninten has no chance, anyway Ninten is the less known from the 3.
Also Sakurai is japanese, I doubt Lucas is going to be the only japan-only rep in Brawl, also he helped making Mother 3, which is maybe why he is putting Mother 3 stuff in Brawl, why not another playable character?, like mmm, who is the second most important character in Mother 3...o yeah, Claus!

How isn't it? He's comparing the importances of the characters as well as the series. He's also comparing where the games were released. That is an argument.So that's your argument against Claus? No it isn't, Fire Emblem got two reps in Melee while F-Zero got the usual one rep and they were Japan only at the time, believe me, it's NOT an argument.

So now one is not allowed to use facts from Melee to contradict what many people think it's so outrageous in Brawl? Fire Emblem got two reps in Melee and it was Japan only, F-Zero got one, fact, it's not an argument, stop arguing about it.

It's a fact, but I doubt the same thing applies for Brawl. How many reps did Mother get in Melee? Oh that's right 1, so I suppose I can say they won't get Claus along with Lucas b/c of something that happened in Melee?

Who's saying F-Zero won't get a second rep anyway? Please no one's saying Claus is a giveaway but to fully dismiss him for being Japan only, it's completely ********, plus it's obvious why Mother didn't get two reps in Melee at this point.

I still think F-Zero has a chance for a second rep. Goroh's importance was overrated by his fans. I wanted him in to please those that wanted him in, alas, it didn't happen. But there are still a lot of racers to choose from. (I'm hoping for Jody Summer)
