It actually does not cancel landing lag. When you land while doing or shortly after doing an AD you get 2 frames of lag, and if you fastfall AD you get 4 frames of lag.

heres what it really is:
Brawl has a system of 10 buffer frames. now when we land that takes away 7 frames because landing is 7 frames. but if we AD dodge the frames go back up to 10 which gives us more time to buffer

so basically its a good idea as a mix up and to buffer things. Gotcha. I play NAKAT alot and I notice its also good to dodge moves if you think theyre gonna run in and try to hit you in between your aerials.

i.e: Luigi d-airs and Fox runs in to U smash RIGHT after so it either hits first than Luigi's nair or trades, BUUUT Luigi FFAD's instead and dodges the move altogether. Now I can buffer a jab and grab **** Fox <3.
