I'm pretty sure BSL is right.

Wait, not pretty sure. He is right. I just remembered how many times I got edge guarded by MK as Luigi because they would use the ledge to invincible Nair through my anything.

My partner and I got 3rd at the tournament. It should've been a free win :facepalm:

Pika has less frames of invincibility on the ledge but is also able to drop off of it earlier than the rest of the cast as a result (I think it's 6 frames compared to 12?). Makes it pretty impossible to punish his planking.
G&W also has near invincible planking with up-b.

I just happened to check online for tournament the day before and decided to come in. It was good games man and I'll sure come to another bro. Good playin you all, had fun against you and Juglo. Need to get better. Wish Brawlman attended this, wanted to play against him.

Two Day event Saturday and Sunday.
$400 in Pot Bonuses all ready.

I'm going to talk to Hotels in the area for deals the next few days.
The passes should work. This event needs to get rolling so I'm rushing much of usually what I take my time on. :\

I would also like to thank everyone for your support in these past 3 long years making this a weekend event has been a goal of ours since the get go.

Man if you read what Sakurai said it sounds like he plans to implement punishment for standing around.. this reminds me of when he mentioned tripping in the development blogs for brawl. I just hope it doesn't go horribly wrong lol

Well let's look at Sakurai's track record shall we? Each game he's tried to make it less competitive; Melee's famous L-Cancel is just a halved version of 64's Z cancel, reduced hitstun from 64 to Melee to try and get rid of combos, even LESS hitstun from Melee to Brawl which pretty much did get rid of combos. The nerfs in Brawl: More floaty physics, little to no hitstun, removal of L-Cancel making us rely on auto-cancel, removal of dash cancel so we only have three options out of dash, the TRIP- I need not go on. Even with this partnership with Namco Bandai for Smash4, I think it's going to get worse for the competitive scene. Fun fact: Sakurai has calcific tendonitis and muscle ruptures in his right arm right now which is severely setting him back when it comes to working on the new smash game. Yeah.

Keep in mind guys, although Summercon is in late June, time will fly and you don't want to be unprepared. We are doing everything on our end to make sure everything runs smoothly, but you guys have to do your part by actually making the necessary preparations for this event. Take off work, start saving money, pre-register, and make sure you have any other affairs in order.

Most importantly, make sure you read the thread for the tournament information and you follow by the rules set in place. For instance, once you get your ID, DON'T lose it. Even if we know you, if you don't have your ID, then you're out of luck, we won't accommodate you. ****NO EXCEPTIONS. ****

I'm sure Sakurai could do more to make the game as uncompetitive as possible, but I think we can still make it competitive. We'll just adapt to the changes...at least, those of us who want to will.

All attacks do random damage from 1-20% no matter who you are. Items on high permanently, no way to turn them off. When you input a command, there's a 5% chance that your character will actually do it, 95% chance it randomly does a different move.

I've honestly come to the conclusion that if Smash was made with competitive play in mind; then it wouldn't be as unique as it is. It would just be Street Fighter but with Nintendo characters lol.

I wish there was a way to save posts because this is freaking hilarious. Also there will be no neutral stages. We'll all be playing on Hyrule Temple and Hanenbow. Actually there will be neutral stages, but they'll each have a ******** stage gimmick.Ex. FD you'll have to fight while floating in space, and everytime the background warps you have to hold on. And once you play 1000 matches, the game turns into Mario Party 10.

I loved how my first Brawl tournament in 2 years, 3/4ths of my tournament matches were against MKs.
