Louisiana is apparently the state where Smash players live to practice law.

I actually get to do something cool and work with films. A job that pays you a good chunk of cash to have fun and work on a lot of different projects. Get mad.:)

Yeah, I've been seeing the same thing on a ****load of sites. The legal field isn't the greatest market ATM, and I'd really hate to get a 7 yr education and not even use said degree. I'm going to talk to people here though and see what they're looking at for jobs, and how they swing them.

That's why I'm still thinking and all. @okuser- I don't know yet, and I don't have to declare until junior year anyway; however, since I am considering Mech Engineering as well, which requires a laaaaaarge amount of courses, I'm giving everything serious thought right now. If I'm going to put forth that much effort, I'd like to know whether I'd enjoy the field or not.

Best thing for me to do ATM is to talk to people in different fields and get an idea of what I want to be doing.

dang dude if you wanna do mechanical engineering you should've just gone to tech!

we also have cyber engineering, which is pretty cool because techs the first school in the nation to offer an undergraduate degree in cyber engineering this year

I'm not positive though, so I think it's a good thing I get sent up here. Since it's liberal arts styled, I'm forced to explore anyway.

Film is not a waste of time though for several reasons, and I'm more situated to the technical aspects of it. I don't do concept art or anything involving drawing. Film prospers well enough even in harder economic times (escapism) and LA in particular has been getting a lot of attention because we are cheap(er) than other places.

Even if compositing/3d computer graphics fell through, I still know how to script/code.

Political science is pretty bottom tier. It's about as good as Mass Comm, except that it only ruins the world in every facet of society.:troll:

haha you can't even compare comm and political science.

political science is a standard pre-law major. yea it's pretty ****ing useless as a major on it's own but most people dont do that.

You guys bashing political science majors are a bunch of idiots. You can either go into politics or become a lawyer or do both. Forget the money you can do in each? Forget that you wouldn't have to leave home if you became a lawyer because LA has one of the highest crime rates in the country? ******s are shooting each other almost everyday down in New Orleans. They always need someone to defend them. Hell, if you are crooked enough, you could make a living in Louisiana politics. We are the dirty south after all.

Also David, you can't compare communications majors to political science. Political science is more useful. :p

Are we really gonna argue about the utility of each different major? I'm down, Lol. Seems like science, medicinal and technological-based fields have prolly helped mankind the most. The Arts have prolly done the least and Id say political scientist, philosophers and history are all low-bottom tier (right above Arts).

Might as well argue why a bottom tier degree is better than another just to pass the time. It beats arguing the balance issues in games.

I'm going to be hosting a Brawl tournament on June 1st at the Sam's Town Casino and Hotel in Shreveport.




there will be more info in the near future. this will be a big tournament.

The mardi gras minigame is wandering the streets drunk trying to find a non conspicuous place to piss. I was peeing in a parking lot once when someone came up from behind and said "boy this is a church parking lot".
