edit: he coming play with me tonight, hopefully i will extract some type of vengance. if not i will just have to merk him in mario party 2 duelz again

Lol, Brawl was even an option? DAAAAANG. I might just quit Brawl again just because of this. No point in playing a game that no one wants to support on a world stage.

It was the general vote that every community of the smash had to pool into one game, rather than be divided into two. Aside from transparency issues, Melee had gotten the ball rolling like almost from the start.

In spirit of Melee winning the competition to become an official game at EVO, I changed the payouts for Get Hype #6. Whoever has the most people for any event, whether it be for fighters or smash, they will get top 5 payed out; second most gets top 4 payed out, and third most gets the standard top 3 pay out.

To be honest I might as well reserve the top five payout for you Melee players. You've proven over the course of the competition that you can come together very well and strong and surpass those who are the traditional fighting community. Second place should be reserved for the fighting community because they always show up and put up the numbers for attendance, and Brawl player might get lucky enough to the 70/20/10 split if they manage to pull out enough people to have the third most. Otherwise, Brawl with have to settle for 60/30/10 like all the other games we'll have.

I'm also guaranteeing this pay-out system will be in place for any event I personally will host. See you guys on the 16th. :)

I'm happy that melee won. I hope the FGC isn't too much though, as I already see the salt flying.

I don't think the brawl community cares enough...and I can't blame them. I still enjoy Brawl, but unless you play it, outside of something like Salem at Apex, it gets pretty annoying to watch when 80% of matches involve MK.

Oh, and it takes too damn long. That fact should be undisputed at this point. If you want to finish on time, some of the top bracket matches have to be played off stream. Not a HUGE deal, but still not preferable.

No IMO, but we do have some key problems that you can't really argue against.

Imo, outside of actual gameplay, matches take longer than necessary because people wait like 3-5 minutes before going back into the match to get recomposed, get advice, etc.
