I guess I've never actually said it, but I support Ashley. Outside of Orbulon (who has no chance in chell), Ashley is my favourite WarioWare character, and the fact that she is still missing from the AT spot makes me very hopeful. Also all this talk about how Japan loves her is just a great bonus. It's just the idea of her actually making it in that excites me. As you can see, she is part of my most wanted characters, and if there is a second Wario character, I really can't see anyone else. Sign me for support.

I was disappointed when she was confirmed as an assist trophy instead of a playable character, but i think she has a real shot this time! (Add me as a supporter!)

Every character in Ultimate looks so amazing, they have so many little animations and expressions and quirks.
The thought of seeing Ashley like that,
It would be incredible!

So this thread hit the 1000 reply benchmark and is settled comfortably at 4th for most replies among the other newcomer threads. I have no idea what that says about her popularity in the west and any claim I make might be considered fallacious, but I do appreciate how enthusiastic you all are as her supporters. I can't wait when this thread absolutely explodes if she gets confirmed. The reveal will be all the sweeter with how much you guys helped fuel my hype. No matter what happens, thanks.

It's such a fun experience even when they get leaked in advance why Shulk but now that I've got an account here it'll be even better now that I can actually be a part of the festivities! How should we celebrate if Ashley gets revealed?

she was added two weeks after the ballot started and the final place holder added was Corrin not bayonetta

so this might mean the ballot was made for the choices for smash bros ultimate not smash 4 dlc

I hope somebody's pulling a fast one on us. Was Bayo not actually #1 in Europe after all and the ballot was never intended for Smash 4 even if they knew we thought the exact opposite?

I mean, I know it's not directly their fault since they aren't in charge of what people vote for, but this deception could've really hurt the performance of characters whom already had roles in Smash 4.

Plot twist: All the characters who were Mii costumes in the final wave of DLC were the actual ballot winners, and they will be newcomers in Ultimate.

Ashley, Tails, Knuckles, and Takamaru confirmed.

Nah, it's all part of Sakurai's ultimate jape. He includes those two as Assist Trophies in the E3 demo so that we don't see their actual reveal coming.

Viridi got a costume too, and I'd love to see her. But I hope that Ashley's Mii costume is actually a hint towards something.

No, that would be Ridley's shadow all over again.
Takamaru and Knuckles were both seen in the demo.

That would be like saying Samurai Goroh still also has a shot, even if he was seen in the demo, fighting Takamaru of all things.
People are actually thinking like you do on Waluigi, and he is the only one I could see a tiny chance of that happening, as he was at least not seen in the demo.

Still, out of all current Assist Trophies from Smash 4, Ashley is the one I really want to see playable, with Skull Kid second.
^ AT's from Brawl however, Isaac comes just behind Ashley in AT promotion in general for me.

I feel like Ashley has more evidence in her favor than any other character. Unconfirmed assist, Mii costume, relevant in 2015, and literally nothing from the WarioWare series has been shown besides Wario himself and his Brawl stage. I think, if Ashley is playable, she will be confirmed alongside Kat and Ana as an assist, and Gamer (or a new WW stage.)

Oh yeah but I'm pretty sure Hinata was just joking. I hope we don't go down that denial route unironically if Ashley gets Assist Trophy'd. Though I do think any assist trophy has a chance for DLC if that recent Reggie quote on Waluigi means anything.

There seems to be a four-way divide in the Smash 4 Mii Costume department between fan-favorite characters (K. Rool, Geno), Nintendo staples (Isabelle, Toad), third-parties (Knuckles, Monster Hunter, Heihachi), and miscellaneous obscure Nintendo references (Flying Man, Takamaru, Viridi). My bias towards Ashkey wants to say it's a happy-medium between the first two categories, as far as she's concerned.

In other words, I have a hunch that the Ashley, K. Rool, and Geno Mii costumes were glances into the future of things to come.

You just reminded me of the Viridi mii costume and now I remember wanting her in Smash. These mii costumes are a blessing and a curse to my heart.
