my citation is anyone over 18's opinion of dragonball. it's cool and all as a good but in all reality watch the anime, it's got no plot, the characters sound like they are constipated while they charge their moves for 3 episodes in a row, and the artwork is really low quality. did you really expect a movie based on an anime like this was going to be good? You can't make a good movie out of a bad anime. That's never been done before and I don't know why anyone would expect a good movie to come out of something with a terrible storyline[Citation Needed]

You just outed yourself as someone with bad taste.bad anime
that means I've perfected my trolling.i cant tell if dantefox has learned how to troll or if he believes what he's saying
well im oblivious to any supposed cheezinessHe is an asian douche in the anime. Don't forget that Goku is just a child during Dragonball, which the movie is based off. The movie is based off Dragon ball, not dragon ball z, so the Goku you see in DBZ is goku after he matures and grows up. He's a douche in dragon ball.
btw I used to love db and dbz..i've seen it all. But when I went to go back to watch it now, it's really cheesy, in the same manner that the movie is.
wow no *****!I remember thinking Home Alone was bada$$ as ***, but I rewatched it realized it was just a giant turd.
Oh wow cool guy. I guess your movie tastes were fully matured by the time you watched your first movie, and you've never remembered a movie as cooler than it actually is because you saw it when you were young.wow no *****!
this explains so muchwhen I was a kid, I never saw home alone. I felt so left out.
I don't think it's 'unfair' to judge a film by a standard for which it wasn't intended. That's what plenty of bad artists say when their 'art' is not positively received. I'm perfectly comfortable saying that quite a few screamo songs are terrible, and I'm certainly not judging them by a standard for which they are intended. Is that unfair?but when watching movies made for children as a child, there's no real reason to look for deeper meaning or subtle brilliance; it's unfair to judge a film against a standard for which it was not intended
Not really, that's not what my point was. My point was that as you get older, your ability to judge something's value (usually) gets better - even if you are no longer in the target audience you have more of an ability to discern what makes a good or bad children's movie.but when watching movies made for children as a child, there's no real reason to look for deeper meaning or subtle brilliance; it's unfair to judge a film against a standard for which it was not intended
it's a little bit like saying schindler's list wasn't really that funny
Sure it is. If you're comparing screamo to your ideal of mozart or the beatles, then you're pretty clearly looking in the wrong place. If you compare said screamo songs to other screamo songs, then your judgment becomes more valid. If you want to knock the whole screamo genre, then it's unfair to single out a songI don't think it's 'unfair' to judge a film by a standard for which it wasn't intended. I feel that the purpose of a children's movie is to entertain children. Consequently, I feel that the best judge of how well a children's movie entertains children is the perspective of a child. Not really, that's not what my point was. But the natural extension of that argument turns everything into a popularity contest. If I say the purpose of a video game is to entertain people (which it ostensibly is), and Dota were more popular than SC (hypothetically), implying that more people are entertained by it, I don't think you'd acquiesce and say Dota is a better game. I know you believe SC to be better than Dota, so you must draw a distinction between "better" and "more entertaining." "Better" might not be precisely the right word so feel free to correct me if you have a more well-defined concept you'd rather use.I feel that the purpose of a children's movie is to entertain children. This is a different situation than your tastes simply getting more "refined" or "developed"; growing out of fully enjoying children's productions as you get older is a near fact of life.
