im already doing it for bunny, ive got a powerfully good breeding system in emerald, and i can exchange them to platinum and get the final eggs made pretty quickly

also the emerald cloning glitch is incredibly effective at getting the right items/tms. and the bike moves at twice the speed for faster hatching!
