Hey guys- I made some updates and additions to my knee video (about 30sec extra)
Nothing major, but the Kishes said they might throw it up on the big screen at FC in the 'random vid' mix, so I figured I should probably polish it a little. Extended some text, made the quad knee look better, added a couple other combos

original post:

I wanted to make a smash bros vid but my smash skills aren't quite competitive level. This vid is somewhat of a tech demo but it's more for just entertainment

enjoy

edit: this is my first video by the way

Right- like I said at the end of the video these are all things I've managed to do at one point or another. But for the sake of making the vid I just recreated all the situations instead of hoping to randomly encounter them all again while playing friends.

Heh, nah not really. I've pulled a successful triple knee probably only 4-5 times ever. The quad knee was debatable cause they touched the ground in-between

Too many combos that can be teched.
Ok I was afraid I would have to address this- A lot of the stuff in the video isn't practical, and I'm not trying to position myself as a CF authority. Hence why there's no mention of stuff like l-cancelling. But I'm sure you guys can agree there have been more than enough moments where you pulled something with falcon (whether it should have teched, di'ed or whatever) that worked, looked awesome, and enraged whoever you were playing.

Wow, you must be liek t3h best evur . . .

Videos of friends?
not yet, I just got all my recording stuff last week. Plus my friends usually don't play at my house. But cmon, a few triple knees after years of playing together isn't too much, is it : )

The two friends I play most often are better than me really, I'm usually hit and miss with falcon. I usually have to switch to jiggly to get the job done.

Well, yeah. I've pulled off some cool stuff with double or triple knees, but it simply won't work if they hit the ground between every knee. I'm not trying to be mean or anything.

I <3 the knee. My friend Tron V2.0 calls it the "Knee of Truth" whenever he gets the electric knee! I'm just wondering how come it doesn't always work when i do it. No electric. And i find that it works better on larger opponenets (Bowser,DK etc.).

the knee is timing dependent. If you hit it at the right time you always get the "Knee of Truth" or as I call it "The Excitement".

It also depends on falling speed.

On a different note, who the hell plays Falcon without knowing the knee inside and out?

My 2 cents is that all falcon players know how to use the knee. In training mode in 15 minutes or less I figured all that out.

Man that was a great video. Heres a tip for all you falcon players. Whenever you land a knee, scream out KNEEEEE!!!!!. It will completely piss your opponents off.

BTW, its called the meteor knee.

nice music. unfortunately, I think if you spend enough time here you'll find many videos of players that can do all that and more. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us.

Rofl, the text commentary made the vid what it was.

Props for taking something old and turning it into something funny.

Apologies for not being up to par on my lcancels : (

tbh I'm pretty sucky with it. When I first learned about l cancels I thought they were only needed for moves like doc and gannons fair. I got into the habit of lcanceling the move right as it hit the ground (basically mashing down, L, and A all together) that would always cancel a missed fair with no problem, and when the move hit I didn't really notice the hit lag since with doc and gannon it's kind of hard to follow those up immediately with another move.

however falcon is much more comboable (obviously) just tonight I tried out cancelling my nairs and found that I could grab immediately out of the attack instead of getting shieldgrabbed all the time. I have to think hard to do it right though, because I'm so used to mashing L with A at the same time, regardless or hitlag or not.

That was the Best. Video. Ever!

Rofl at the quadruple knee combo. "Secondly, you are encouraged to pause the game and start dancing."God your opponent would rob you of your manhood if you did that. Funny.

Also, Luigi II, stop being so condecending.

THE KNEEEEEEEEEE OF JUSTICE! That was my chant whenever I scored a sweet-spotted knee kill. It was unsettling for my opponenets to be playing against such a douche bag.

God your opponent would rob you of your manhood if you did that.
the guy looks so honored to take the Knee of Justice (I originally read this as "horned")

The best part of this video is when you said: "Any time spent not kneeing is time better spent kneeing"

That's brilliant. I might just sig you on that...
