Don't like camping eh?

I used to go camping all the time. Back in high school I was part of a group that did real hiking and camping a lot (not that ***** **** that Boy Scouts does). I went a few times in college and I usually go about once a year now (fake camping unfortunately, but it's better than nothing). I'd love to get out there more, especially to do some real camping where we pitch a tent miles into the woods away from everything.

Hi people.

I guess that after like almost 4 years I can finally start posting in Regional boards because going places and doing things are starting to exist for me.

Hopefully I can start existing in the smash scene next weekend... I have to go on some dumb trip this weekend so :/

We look forward to it
...where do you live btw? If it's nearby, it's possible someone could play during the week as well

I haven't gone camping since creation 2005 (creation is a christian music festival in PA on campgrounds in the mountains)

I just love my technology and convenience too much. I can never get away anyways, because i have a smart phone that is tied to my company.

I haven't gone camping because I'm just bad at it :( (too much of a city boy-type lifestyle, lack of extreme athleticism/endurance so hiking is always trouble, horrendous cooking capabilities, very little familiarity with tricks of the trade, afraid of bees which are always fairly common ect.).

@Tant there's a lot of things that the Unleashed style still doesn't do right for me - lack of momentum-based puzzles/platforming segments (at the very least they added platforming period, which is better than what they had in ShTH-Sonic 2006, which was nothing), levels being much more claustrophobic than Adventure style gameplay, NO ITEMS/POWER UPS (which Colors somewhat rectified, but they still need stuff like invincibility, speed shoes, and elemental shields), over-reliance on the Boost, trick systems being bare bones, lack of level obstacle and enemy gimmicks ect.

Not saying that I dislike the Unleashed system, but it's far from "doing Sonic right" imo. It is however a massive improvement than most 3D games that aren't the Adventure series' Sonic/SA1 Tails/Shadow levels.

i think its absolutely the most fun i've had with 3d sonic period.

SA1 and SA2 were good, heroes/360/secret rings sucked so im glad we have some real solid stuff here.

Edit: I've gathered 20 different versions of wily stage 1

I want to have a contest to see which one is the best

hahaha no. I haven't gone camping in.... I don't know if I've ever gone camping, and I'd like to keep it that way. Too much a creature of modern comforts.

At least skim the website: http://magfest.org/camping/. There will be electricity and bathrooms. It's not real camping other than the sleeping in a tent part (and you could sleep in the car if it really bothers you that much). Cmon guys, campfires, video game music bands, DQ9... what more could you want? It's a once a year kind of thing. It's time to nut up or shut up.

will there be an empty jacuzzi I could sleep in? What about an extra large sleeping bag for you, me, and thunderhorse?

So what do you guys wanna do this weekend? There's, ummm ... bull-riding at the Greene Turtle tomorrow night ... and ... Smash and DQ9 and whatnot.

Edit: Oh wait, Super 8 is out! Anyone wanna watch that this weekend?

In other news, it's looking like I might go to CoT5 the weekend after this weekend...

That was before I remembered Sunday is Father's Day. But if you still are up for comming down cmart, I'm still fine with that.

I can't really leave because I promised Seb/Clyde/Shinku/Mark I'd go drinking with them this weekend (to make up for the one time where I was sick), and I work from 1-7 tomorrow (co-worker needs to go to Jersey...figures -_-), so traveling to Westminster and getting there at 9ish when I'd have to leave at about 6ish is silly. I'd still be free to Smash Friday night and most of Saturday though, but yeah you'd have to leave pretty early to make if back in time for Father's day if you guys went drinking with us.

Alternitavely we could hang out at Jason's. He has access to the DC metro so I can still meet up with everyone, and you guys can leave whenever to get back to Westminster.

Besides, Kaiser's 21 now. He needs the experience.

AFAIK Jason doesn't even live there anymore. He spends most of his time with Lindsey and he's getting a place in Baltimore.

I have work sat so I wouldn't really be able to juggle it well anyway. I think I'll just spend some time with my friends around here, and plan to do something special next weekend.

Nothing this weekend.

Ulti, sorry, the CoT5 thing was kinda last minute. Chibo's having a bit of an emergency and needs my help. Is there another weekend you could come up?

So if we're going to CoT5 we need to hammer out the details ASAP. Who's interested in going? We'll be leaving early Saturday morning and getting back Sunday evening.

Oh yea whoops : [ Pretty sure I'm working this sat. Well since we're not even pretending to enter the tourney (lol brawl) I can always come up separately a little bit later and meet the rest of you there? It wouldn't be much different than what we did when we went up to Waffle's.
