Playable SSE would be nice.

Wait, is SSE playable already?

I tried it on mine (3.0) but it just crashes every time.

Permanent non-shrinking shield in training mode. Please based god PMBR, make it happen. I understand you'll have to replace an option to add one, so get rid of that stupid "run away" function. A play back feature would probably be impossible but hype. Permanent shield please :3

I think rapid (perhaps instant?) shield regeneration upon drop would be helpful, as you could practice both shield pressure and the very niche shield pokes/break setups (although shield breaks are incredibly rare and NEVER occur on a full shield anyway).

If any command were to be replaced with a Shield or Input Mode (Input Commands, CPU does them), it would likely be Run Away. Even if it is helpful at developing anti-camp strategies.

Jigglypuff
-Remove rest, replace with something semi useful or alter it someway to make it more accessible
-Sing, make it a projectile that acts like Mewtwo's disable (but with sleep) and x2 the range. If used midair it just deals 5% and on the ground it's 0% and sleep? Can't give her nukes now.

Jiggly is good, and then she's horrible. Her matchups are often very lopsided, but she's never waaaaay overstepping her bounds into the super-good territory like Falco or Fox. So giving her something nice, like making sing work, would be a little start without breaking things.

Newcomers (Roy/M2)
-Seem unusually fast, but not by a lot, it's like they have no delay and a lot of range; not game breaking, but might need to be looked into
-Mewtwo needs helpless after teleport

You seem to have forgotten to bold the rest, which says "or alter it in someone to make it more accessible." Currently you have to be up in someone's biscuits and gravy to use it, which would be easy if the hitbox didn't come from the center of her body (so you can't stand next to someone/be on top of them as much as possible to really use it). The best way is to Dair and then use it, but if they block it you're pretty much just asking to be murdered. Too high of a risk to use in most situations. I can make use of it, but I never. Ever. See anyone make use of it. A super light character like Jiggly can't exactly throw herself out there like that, either. So I don't blame people for not wanting to use rest. :|

It's honestly not that hard to land thanks to Dair. At the same time, it's not that hard to block either. I suppose people opt to use rollout for sending their target flying. Again, not that I blame them; rollout isn't exactly an inferior or horrible move. Rollout is safer and has almost the same power behind it as rest. Especially online. More power to 'em. Buuuuuut. . . If rest were altered or switched out with something similar to make it a little less risky, that'd be cool. Not exactly hoping for much there since PM guys seem very adamant keeping Jiggly as melee Jiggly.

Upthrow and uptilt combo into rest, particularly on fastfallers, and I don't think dair links into it very well at all.

Four matches, 12 stocks taken by Hungrybox, 8 of them from rest. There are all sorts of problems with Jiggs's design, but rest's usefulness is not one of them. If anything it's too good and polarizes the playstyle. Rollout is by far the inferior move.

I pretty sure Pichu in SD Remix was not only better than Pikachu, but one of the best characters in the game. Granted, not hurting itself anymore played a huge factor in it, but Pichu definitely has its advantages over Pikachu.

I'm still wondering why everyone hates on Fox. He got nerfed three times in a row. I'm going to cry if he takes another arrow to the knee. I like Gohan's suggestions.

- Use Stage Expansion Code to add a bunch of new and old stages
- Add a few new characters and lots of new custom costumes
- Fix the glitch(?) that makes you waste a jump when trying to do a short-hopped aerial:
This might have to do with me being used to 6 frames of Buffer, but whenever I try to do a short-hopped down air by hitting up on the Control Stick and then down on the C Stick, my character just instantly wastes his second jump instead, about 90% of the time.
- Add customizable Buffer back to the WiFi-Safe codeset, replacing "Input Assist"
- Change Snake's side taunt:
One more thought on Snake's taunts, specifically side taunt: I think it should be the old Project M 2.5 up taunt, where he put a hand to his chin and said, "Good" / "Tasty" / "Not even close", versus "Colonel, Mission Accomplished". The old up taunt was quicker and more taunt-y, while the current side taunt is longer, and already a victory animation. Besides, the mission isn't accomplished until the match is won! I suggest putting "Good" and "Not even close" back in. It would be nice if left/right taunt shared the same animation, but left yielded "Good" and right yielded "Not even close".

It's so high risk because it's basically a one shot KO. It isn't used super frequently because it's so tough to pull off, but it is hardly useless. That said, good Jiggly players do pull it out frequently enough as a combo finisher. The only viable way to make it more accessible would be to nerf the hell out of it which would make Jigglypuff worse overall. I'm not sure why this is such an issue, it's not like every attack can be her most used move.

* Final Balance tweaks, of course (which by the way shouldn't include everyone getting nerfed while Fox/Falco get barely addressed seriously)
* Clone Engine characters that wouldn't have to follow restrictions like "has to appear in Brawl". My votes would be:
- Dark Samus/Metroid Prime or Ridley
- Quote from Cave Story (Seriously, his moves in his game just cry out for someone to make him playable in Smash.)
- An F-Zero Rep
- Isaac I suppose?
- Idk, someone else good. Lyn I guess for some female and FE rep.
* Bug fixes all around, including freedom to play SSE, Classic, etc.
* Alt costumes for everyone in the cast
* Actually using SJS icons or similar quality, perhaps redoing CSPs in the style the alts were done in?
* Home stages for each character. This one can't be too hard, really. Stage expansion packs are EVERYWHERE and I think it's sad that well-liked stages like Bowser's Castle don't get put in the build.
- Neutral Orpheon replacing normal Frigate Orpheon, and replacing Dreamland as a starter stage; dreamland would replace Skyworld or PS1 in the counterpicks section, with the aforementioned stage going to page two.
* Aesthetic changes to CSS and SSS, such as removing the nametags on the CSS and improving the SSS icon/borders in the SSS
* Training mode getting a special treatment like previously discussed where things like infinite shield on opponents, instant replay, input copying, etc... Basically just buffing training mode so you can practice a lot more at any time.
*Aesthetic changes like REMOVING the dumb WIND sound effect that makes no sense which plays when you knock a character in the air just a little; changing the timing such that it occurs right on hit, and replacing the SFX with Melee's "brutal hit" sfx or a remade version for added sense of power.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. Anything else would be wayyyy beyond expectation (i.e. giving each character their own BTT, or putting in Race to the Finish, etc.)

Pretty much in order:

1. RACE TO THE FINISH, seriously this was like my favorite part aside from master+crazy hand of single-player.
2. Lyn (or another fire emblem char)
3. More custom costumes, they're so cool!
4. Ridley (or another samus char in general)
5. A backwards final side b option for marth (like roy)
6. Ganon's melee voice, it was just so much better

oh and general balance changes/updates, etc

Fox and Falco still aren't winning any tournaments, guys.
okay, I'm not arguing Fox is OP, but people need to stop saying this.

At Apex, In Melee, two of the top 4 were Fox. And in PM, two of the top 3 were Fox.

Armarda is too good and he knows the Fox matchup.
You could say the same thing when Mango wins anything with Fox. Him winning doesn't even have much to do with what character he's using. He wins because he's good regardless, not because he picks Fox. But when that /finally/ happens everyone just jumps on the #OPbandwagon because they are incapable of thinking for themselves.

And would anyone seriously not expect a Melee veteran to know the Fox matchup? I mean, is there a punchline I'm missing?

The are plenty of Project M/Brawl-Project M players who do not know the Fox matchup nearly as well. Armarda did and that gave him a distinct advantage.

I'd really want to see the 1 frame physics delay removed. Also it seems like it is harder (or impossible) to waveland on some platforms from the ledge compared to melee.

I agree, useful training modes would be a huge boon to Project M. I'd also like to see an option to set the CPU's directional influence if possible.

But was it first place though?
Not to say I think Fox and Falco are deserving of nerfs, necessarily, but ideally the game should be getting balanced around matchups, not tiers. If Fox and Falco are making it difficult for a large portion of the cast to flourish, then they should be balanced accordingly. Whether or not they win too many tournaments is irrelevant. So, having any high placement at all (particularly when there's more than one) still can be indicative of a lack of balance in matchups. All not getting first means is that Armada played well and that Pit probably has an even game vs. Fox, even if the rest of the cast isn't so lucky. So it isn't first or nothing.

-Playable Tournament Mode for ****s and giggles and a playable Subspace Emissary so I can wavedash around bosses just to show off. If you guys can also add Roy and Mewtwo into Subspace that would be cool too.
-Final Balances and tweaks.
-I don't think additional characters are needed, but giving the rest of the cast an alternate costume would be awesome like OoT Ganon, Classic Sonic, and MGS1 Snake.

If they haven't won a single PM tournament in ages, that inherently means there's not nearly as bad of a matchup discrepancy as people think there is. Like I said, bandwagon.

You're assuming that because a claim has been poorly argued, or a fallacy has been made ("bandwagoning") mentality), the claim itself must be wrong, which is a fallacy in itself. You can make a claim that's false (Fox does not need balancing whatsoever) yet argue with logical coherency for that claim (although he places well consistently, he hasn't been winning tournaments), just as it's possible to make a claim that is true (Fox is a powerful character that could use some slight balance changes, and shouldn't be immune to them because Melee) and justify it with poor arguments (Armada just knows the matchup and that's why he won, Fox still OP).

Some characters have toolsets that are obviously specifically created for combating spacies, which leaves other fast-fallers who are actually balanced or well-designed getting the collateral damage. Rather than beating around the bush, I'd rather just get to the root of the problem.

I would imagine that the next huge update would be 1 or 2 characters, a couple of stages and major buffs and nerfs. Yeah, I'm not really sure what else I can really say. Maybe use the clone engine for Waluigi. I know that one guy on Youtube made an extremely well done Waluigi mod. So if they ever get a hold of him, perhaps they can finish making the character.
