There is not a single player whose faced you who will disagree that you overrate yourself highly. You have to learn this thing called modesty.

That's why Magus was fired up earlier in this thread and why these PA players are now. Saying things like

is clearly not modest. Win or lose, good players say "good game" and sometimes shake hands. When someone beats you who you don't think should and they say "good game" you go "that wasn't a good game, that was a bad game, I should have won".

You also have to stop crying. I mean this quite literally. When you lost your doubles set against me and Ashrun, you were whining for at least an hour about how you shouldn't have lost that match and you couldn't fathom losing to me. LK said he didn't see you that angry since you didn't make brackets at Gauntlet and your dad came up to me and said "I heard you made Lucas cry".

Take your losses like a man, and take your wins modestly. And don't claim you're way better than people or even that you can beat people you haven't played in a few weeks that could beat you a few weeks earlier. And I mean this post seriously, so don't pull any of that bull**** about me needing to "get a life, stop bashing you on the internet, etc."

I'll be honest; I think I'm a little better than you because I have better tournament results. Do I think I **** you? Nah. If I played carefully and chaingrabbed(AKA not how I played in friendlies), your Ganondorf would be toast, but your Mario's solid against faster characters. But either way, they were friendlies. Friendlies don't mean much. Let's see what happens in a few money matches or tournament matches.

And yeah, had he been CGing like a ***** the matchup is FAR more difficult, and the matches most likely would have turned out quite differently. I stomp his sheik (literally lol) if he doesn't CG, but if he does the matches are close, and that's only if I'm doing well at avoiding grabs, otherwise I'll usually lose (well, on FD anyway). Getting grabbed more than 4-5 times in that matchup on FD is basically a loss for ganon. It's pretty dumb.

The benefit is that it causes people to underrate me instead, which has given me several upset victories. =) The people that know me well just don't take me seriously. And Magus is right. His Ganondorf f*cks me up if I don't chaingrab it. And beating his Jiggs is all about smart grabbing, too. Sheik gayness = only way for me to beat Magus. But I've yet to test my very much improved Marth and Fox on him. But he'll prolly still win. He somehow owns Marth with Jiggs. Weird. =/

If I wasn't too young to drive I'd be playing TA every weekend. Why? Because they are a great bunch of people, AS WELL as smashers.

Competition is good and being better than someone is cool, but you shouldn't be constantly trying to judge someone based on skill. You don't get anything out of bashing and comparing and "Well I beat them in tourney so I automatically am better".

All I see going on here is lost friendships, and that's pretty much the best thing about communities like smash.

Anubis, just so you know friendlies hold very little weight. Tourney matches and placings mean far more, as do money matches, but then again that's only applicable when people attend the same tournies. Him saying he's better because of his placings is pretty dumb however, since Renth has gone to very few tournaments, and none of the same ones as Tuna Sandwich. Also, I think I got that 2 stocking thing from him saying something like had he actually chaingrabbed that's how it probably would have turned out like, going by the difference it makes in our ganon vs sheik matches. He talks so d@mn much I tend to zone out sometimes.

Also, you should try to not stretch the page like that, as it is a bit of an eyesore.

Sorry, Anubis, but he has no tourny results to show for himself yet. =/ I've got decent placings across the board now in almost every tourny I compete in. And I'm apparently semi-pro in MLG teams or something for making pro brackets plus winning two sets. I really don't care much if I'm better than Renth or not. He's a great player and a cool kid, I've got nothing against him, but you need to chill out. Renth and I already settled this.

People can beat other people and not be better than them. My brother sometimes has those days where he beats me most of the time. But against other people that I can destroy, he'll lose. XD Stuff like that happens sometimes. .__.

I just want to have fun and money match Renth for fun. The money adds a competitive thrill to it. =D Wanna MM me too, Anubis? It'll be fun.

Oh, and for the record, I'm still the leader of the crew. "Best player" doesn't automatically equal "captain." Wife's captain of the East Coast crew, but people like PC Chris and ChuDat are clearly better than him, for instance. The ranking tournament will determine where people rank in the crew based on skill and tournament performance. I'll no doubt face LK in the finals. I wonder what will happen. I'm currently saying he's better than me because he tends to carry the team a lot in doubles and he can use a mid tier character and beat top tiers while I can't.
