Pit can drop down off the ledge and arrow loop it backwards then airdodge through it for a safe recovery. Arrow looping isnt useless.

What characters can stop pit from planking/ledge stalling?
G&W, Olimar, and DK I dont know if anyone else can G&W can just dash attack. Oli can f-smash or grab you off the edge. and dk's d-smash

Edit: Timing is the major issue, if they fail to time there moves right they'll just be pushed back by the windboxes.

Edit: on arrow looping, I usually throw out a side b or f-smash so i don't move. If you shield they can see you moving your shield But Mirror shielding they can only guess if your truly gonna loop the arrow back. Also I've been testing out a thing called pivot mirror shielding on the ground I can see it becoming useful in the near future. As far as I know Pivot Grabbing is better for those moves like Luigi's down b, But vs Nado, lucario's aura sphere, and etc pivot mirror shielding seems useful.

It depends on the damage% of the opponent. If he's at zero or close to it, go for the front throw chain grab but if he's not, my favorite and what seems to be the most effective throw for comboing is Pit's down throw because you can do an easy follow up with a u-air or f-air or you can try to space a bair just right for a sweet spot. Mostly just d-throw to u-air though :p

make a custom stage on a large map with small squares to stand on at the very bottom of the map and small platforms on the right end of the map that go from the borrom to the very top. once your done with the stage, play 1V1 (not 1Vcpu) alone in that stage. move the second player, preferably kirby for jumps, all the way up to the top plataform at the very corner of the stage. then you can start looping and see your arrows go full circle! practice on this stage enough and you will get used to the motion so you can arrow loop in battle!

btw, you can loop up to 4 arrows for fun :p

But Don Guero and CYVE, isn't there a way to do this in a normal stage, like Final Destination?

It can be done on a normal stage, but the best way we have found to learn or practice it is how they said. Once you get the motion down it can be done on any stage.

Hmm. Ok. I'm starting to understand. But is there any motion that I have to do? Or do the arrows loop by themselves?

I would also suggest to put tap jump off (for better control)
It´s just a matter of practice.

well lucario does pretty good against some of pits bad matchups, so does wolf, wario, and diddy i think.
i do like lucario XD he haz blue fire, but what MU's are you talking about? arent pit's main MU issues w/ MK, marth and G&W? And im pretty sure that Luke has some issues with them as well.
as for wolf... i dont like spacies ~.~
ive never really tried wario, soi dont know how good he is :p
same goes for diddy.

knowing this... what say you now?

Statistically, I think MK and Marth are your best bets for covering your bad MUs. MK is better, of course, since he doesn't get ***** by MK.

If I remember right, Snake wasn't bad either. Other than that, it's pretty much either pick one counter for a MU you particularly hate (I second Luigi, because I can't stand Olimar), or just stick with Pit.

Pay more attention to your defensive options.

You are still too predictable and open. I wasn't aware of how predictable I was until some one told me. Notice you always try to make it to the ground close to mk by evading. Its like us down throw chaining snake. You should switch it up with spaced attacks or to a grab after falling, or avoid the area completely.

The only reason I kept evading was because of airdodge > utilt. I just get too predictable. I'll have to mix it up.

I haven't finished watching the entire video yet, but work on pivot arrows and your ground-game. It seems like you try to avoid playing MK on-stage. He's not that bad on stage even though most of his moves out range ours.

i have issues w/ snake. no problem giving damage/avoiding damage but i cant get the finishing blow because he's so hard to approach due to his tilts/explosive defenses. Any advice?

Play campy. He does force you to be on the edge alot but do some quick hits and run away then pivot arrow. the key to vs marth is remaining clam and punishing his moves that lag. If they are the typical double fair marth bait it then Mirror shield the second fair run in and grab or walk f-smash. Dancing blade double stick smash di away. When marths off the stage and your over 100% grab the edge wait for him to up-b to the edge then get up attack if they di wrong they go back off the stage, repeat till they up-b to early for a free bair. It's a tough match-up due to him zoning you out, but if they are trying to spacing run away and pivot arrow.
