Well now he changed it so that it is a tournament. It all depends, like these bi-weeklies were what made joe and hype noticeable, if you take away it's credibility now, then the past was ****ed. Yet, it was never a bi-weekly to begin with, it never happened every two weeks...

But then again, when I went Sunday, it was straight bracket, what if it wasn't seeded properly? Even though, from what I saw, it was balanced **** well.

It's tough, I brought this up before, because it wouldn't be fair to sauga and toronto if niagara had bi-weeklies, or house tournaments, and it counted towards the PR, ****ed up situation.

well if you think about it we would have had 7/10 PR people coming if ambrose did have exams, all the people at duys tournaments are pretty skilled its pretty worthwhile to include it. Usually we only have 6/10 pr come but thats cause ace flopped the other 2 times. I still think that the numbers attending are enough to warrant it being credible.

And I hope I'm at least # 7 - 10, I need to be on that list. 2nd 2nd 1st and tied for 2nd. just saying, if I'm not on it i'll be quite surprised, guess i'll have to do well at mikeys.

This update was so hard (IMO) and the competition is so large now I almost thought about extending the pr to 15 and removing up and comers....

Cause seriously our pooled skill level is crazy now.

LOL No worries, I was just saying... I'm back on the pr this update, if people didn't know.

At this point I'm just waiting on Ambrose' list, realistically we see the update done by tomorrow night, as it'll be sunday and in my experience everyone is always on msn sunday nights (trust me, check it for yourself).
There's gonna be tons of rivalries/hype for Mikey's tournament. This coming week truly sets off our summer circuit.

Also in other news ( I have no idea why I haven't already been doing this) I'm going to start saving all the past pr lists.... I'm a fool for not keeping them, does anybody happen to have some of them saved? ( I know I'm pretty hopefull asking this...)

ye extactly it shuldnt be used to put ppl on the pr but more of scope to see who to watch out for and who would be placing high at official tournies.

Whats an official tourney, because im pretty sure people competing in order to win the cash prize makes it a tourney. I dunno how much more "official" it can get. The brackets pretty much contain only good people and are very similar to any other brackets you would see at other tournies. I feel it's a legitimate way for PR aswell as U&C people to play eachother in serious sets which makes it a completely valid thing to use in determining the PR.

You can't really justify not using the data from Duys, its not like the people there don't try. I think the main argument against it is that people from like Niagra don't get represented, but using info from a tourny that not everyone attended is still better than not using it at all.
Also it would be hard for the panelists not to take the info from duys into consideration, even if they dont want to. What has be seen can't be unseen.

Just tossing an opinion into the pot...

With a tournament such as Duy's where the attendance is limited but you still have PR members showing up I believe it's fair to allow the results to influence the placings of people who are already on the PR, but not fair to add new people to the PR because of the results. Someone with a spot on the PR shouldn't be bumped off by a newcomer just because that PR member could not realistically attend the tournament (especially if these tournaments have an entrant limit, but I don't know any of that).

where it gets posted doesnt make it official or not official, these tournies have always been 25+ people from around GTA and include people entering a venue, paying an entrance fee and money for the pot and winning it. I'm pretty sure that counts as a tournament. I could post a tournament up in some random forum and itd still be a tournament, but thats not the point, what avarice says makes a lot of sense though. I should be used to determine how people who are already on the PR move up and down (this includes up and comers moving up) BUT new up and comers should also be added from Duys if they perform exceptionally well against mainly PR members, they shouldn't bump a spot from someone on the PR avarice, they just get a chance to at the next few big tournaments.
